a podcaster i listen to was discussing watching her mom pass from dementia but its like a shark attack movie where you just keep seeing the shark closer and closer but its taking so long it feels so awful that at a certain point you find yourself rooting for the shark. just to be done.

im enjoying this horror fiction podcast called Tonight's Terror. mellow reading moderately creepy stories and very adamant no ai is used or will be used. every story is a stand alone, and the main through-line of themes im seeing is "what if the house wasnt able to keep you safe"

im just glad i trusted my gut bc 90s was all abt gaiman
i just really despised how he wrote women? so gave it a pass. but i was also ridiculed and told i wasnt a real nerd/book hound for not wanting to read his work. so some moralizing may be moldy rage at calling it 40yrs ago n being silenced
