A digital illustration in the style of a block print. A humanoid figure wearing a red cloak stands next to a long, segmented creature that resembles a carrot. The creature’s body weaves in-and-out of dark bushes. A digital illustration in the style of old print. It displays three plants in various states of transformation. All are growing vague animal-like bodies: one birdlike, one serpentine, and the other humanoid. Digital illustration in the style of old print. A large two-headed beast with dark fur emerges from a cave. It lifts its heads to make eye contact with a redheaded child sitting above the cave’s entrance. A digital illustration in the style of a woodcut. It depicts the upper half of humanoid figure whose “head” is a flattened organic shape. A serpentine creature delicately wraps around the figure’s arm and into an opening in their face. The figure handles the creature gently.

Hello #PortfolioDay

I’m Robbie, an illustrator and artist for animation from Bonnie Scotland! I love whimsical worlds, weird fantasy and drawing a good tree!🌲🌳

Currently looking for work in book illustration, ttrpg/tcg spaces or any other fun illustrating projects!✨
Pencil illustration depicting the 4 hobbits of the lord of the rings as wondering and lost rabbits following a wolf character they currently know as strider as he leads them to the tower of Amon Sul. A watercolour painting study of a large spruce tree, perched up against the very tree that was painted Digital painting of Bilbo’s Hobbit Hole, Bagend. The sunsetting light glows into the interior from the large bay window, warming all the trinkets that lay around messily. There are maps spread across a large table next to a still hot teapot and mostly eaten cherry pie. The more you look the more you see many little Easter eggs from tolkiens story hidden around Bilbo’s home. A pencil illustration of a sleepy gnome laying up against the stump of a large and over grown tree. A perfect spot for a nap, before or after a long journey. Or just if you fancy a quiet kip in nature!

Do I understand what I was doing here? No.
Am I obsessed with the colors and textures? Absolutely!

Out of curiosity, are there any fellow artists who create art inspired by vintage print/book illustrations? Would love to follow more who share my niche.

It lifts its heads to make eye contact with a redheaded child sitting above the cave’s entrance. Digital illustration in the style of old print. A humanoid figure wearing a red cape stands in the foreground looking over her shoulder. Behind her is various moss-covered rocks and trees. Below the illustration reads "The woods were still and quiet.” Digital illustration in the style of a vintage storybook. A pale humanoid figure wearing a red cape is in the middle of a dark forest. The trees surrounding her have circular patterns carved into their bark. She stands on the edge of a pit that is filled with a tangled mass of worm-like creatures. Below the illustration reads "The worms wriggled endlessly in the pit." Digital illustration in the style of a vintage storybook. At the edge of a forest, a girl wearing a hooded cardigan meets a long slender creature. The girl reaches out her hand as if to touch the creature's snout.

a medieval manuscript style digital illustration. text at the bottom reads "god blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason he made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine: so that humanity might share in the act of creation. - julian k jarboe." in the center of the piece stands a trans person with top surgery scars, body hair, and facial hair. they are nude, with a red cloth partly draped over their body, and they hold a loaf of bread in one hand and a cup of wine in the other. in the dark blue background behind their head is a sun/halo and 5 stars, and on either side of them are stalks of wheat. there is an arched golden frame around them, and around this is an illuminated border of grapevines. pixel art isometric bedroom in warm earthy colors. the walls are wood paneled with 3 indistinct posters and there is a soft orange carpet. a cat naps on the bed in a patch of sun and a record is playing in the corner. there is a beanbag near the bookshelf and a book resting open on the floor. digital map of Ortesia, the industrial fantasy city from my old dnd campaign, in a monochromatic color scheme (mostly green). there is a river opening out into the ocean, with a city spanning across several islands. islands include: a marketplace and shops, a lighthouse,
a religious complex, a central palace, an upper class neighborhood, and three fancy manors. the main part of the city is on the west of the river and on the northeast is the larger gnome quarter and industrial neighborhood. in the water there are ships of various sizes and in the countryside there is farmland and forest. a train exits the city from one of two parallel tracks running along opposite sides of the river. a propaganda poster in a medieval style that reads: "attacks on trans people have always been the harbinger of fascism... throwing us to the wolves will not keep you safe... class solidarity above all else!" the words are broken up by a drawing of a canary in flight with a speech bubble that says "the rich want us fighting a culture war so that we don't wage a class war" and there is an illuminated border with blue thorned flowers and hearts

Out on the horizon, past the roll of wastes like a sea’s waves frozen in dust, a darkness swirled and swelled. In its maw was fire, its terrible eye gleaming with a hatred pure and bright. And the man knew then that he walked into death. He walked all the same.

2024 limited color dnd commission

a tiefling rocks back on the legs of a stool- consulting a tome for crafting recipes. materials for their task lay around their studio. 2025 limited color group commission

Inside a smokey dining room aboard a river boat pirate ship, a group of adventurers blow off steam. From left to right, an anxious squirrel has drunken to excess, a spirited otter teases them and toasts. A paternalistic skunk with a metal arm scolds them, while a delirious herbalist rabbit offers a solution, and the groups tinkerer, a sparrow, sits with an impulse of a food fight within reach. 2025 - crop from a limited tone fantasy family portrait

Two adventurers walk in the rain on a board walk in the woods, one with a bow at the ready, the other excitedly pulling her close. Their cat looks towards the foreground, where a dragonfly rests on a flower. 2024 full color commission

perched on a dumpster, a wolf in a heavy coat uses a small chunky laptop. Power lines extend into a rainy multicolored light shadow of a city behind him.
