Yes - the key issue will be : who OWNS the production/wealth created by an AI system. Perhaps compulsory part nationalisation of any such system, where EVERYBODY shares some of the proceeds, might help. Cld also be done thru differential taxation for AI related biz? #r4today #politicslive

How will Ai be used responsibly exactly?

To automate services? To boost productivity? This will all cause job losses, will make it easier to cut wages & fleece consumers

Unless we figure out how to live without income & jobs then I can’t see how Ai will be of benefit to most of us #r4today

The real blockers are the water profiteers – and Labour won’t touch them because it’s in bed with the lobbyists.

Ex-MPs like Angela Smith went from defending water firms to working for them. Current ministers have backgrounds in water lobbying.

Following Wales/EU discussion, many mentioning about having fingerprints taken on entry at airports (this happened to me in Thailand I think) Presumably, if finger prints, or DNA, are on a database somewhere, does this invalidate them as evidence found at crime scene. Easily be planted? #r4today

Shadow home secretary Chris Philp told us that the European Convention on Human Rights is not mentioned in the Good Friday Agreement, but only in a multi-party agreement which goes with it. The multi-party agreement is one of two parts which make up the Good Friday Agreement, and the ECHR runs though the section on human rights:

"The British Government will complete incorporation into Northern Ireland law of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), with direct access to the courts, and remedies for breach of the Convention, including power for the courts to overrule Assembly legislation on grounds of inconsistency.".
