‘Suck it up’: leaked video exposes bitter infighting at Reform UK’s flagship Kent council
Exclusive: Footage reveals Kent leader berating councillors amid rows over budgets and bullying claims
Bitter divisions in Reform UK’s flagship county council have been laid bare in a leaked video of a chaotic internal meeting where members were told to “fucking suck it up” if they did not agree with decisions.
Councillors can be seen complaining about “backbiting” and being ignored by their leader, Linden Kemkaran, who tells them they will be “screwed” and that Reform can forget about winning the general election if they don’t balance Kent’s budget. Continue reading...

Yes - the key issue will be : who OWNS the production/wealth created by an AI system. Perhaps compulsory part nationalisation of any such system, where EVERYBODY shares some of the proceeds, might help. Cld also be done thru differential taxation for AI related biz? #r4today #politicslive
How will Ai be used responsibly exactly?
To automate services? To boost productivity? This will all cause job losses, will make it easier to cut wages & fleece consumers
Unless we figure out how to live without income & jobs then I can’t see how Ai will be of benefit to most of us #r4today

And anyway, as an authoritarian regime, you'd think Turkey would exactly be the place that could police an event without problem... This was just another cheap, ignorant shot by Webb. #r4today

We need to be clear about what is worth the money - investing in ending child poverty- and what is a waste of it. PFI is like a payday loan for the public sector consolidating those debts would save taxpayers money we need for public services.

As MPs trade blame over the collapsed China spy case, one truth stands out — justice has failed, and Westminster’s more interested in saving face than safeguarding the UK.

#bbcpoliticslive #politicslive is that Denham journalist the same one that worked for the IEA? Perhaps this should be made known to viewers. She seems keen to parrot most right wing talking points and not so eager to consider alternate ideas.

So Mr Reform from Lincolnshire wants to save the county by not investing in renewables? It’s a very flat county. Maybe he should think about saving it from the flooding damage that uncontrolled climate change will cause?
