Women felt empowered by #MeToo so instead of evolving and learning to respect boundaries bro culture surged and retaliated. Do I have this right? They couldn’t not rape, control and brutalize? Women lost reproductive rights within this Broligarchy. The real or perceived loss of control scared them.

The interprovincial pipeline battle will be deeply divisive and nasty. I think it’s fair to say that communication between the feds, First Nations, Alberta and BC has not gotten off to a good start.
Premier David Eby, speaking now, cites PM Carney's comments from earlier this week that pipeline would have to have agreement from B.C. and First Nations.

"This project does not have the support of Coastal First Nations," he says. Adds no proponent, no route, no money.

Here’s the thing: if these energy projects are in the national interest and the federal government can override provincial jurisdiction, then it cuts both ways.

I don’t think the way Alberta has managed its resource sector is in the national interest. Where has that resource wealth gone?
I'm not interested in "I told you so."

A lot of people voted Liberal because they were terrified of Poilievre and his gang. I get that.

But Carney's who we got, he's being a weak leader, pushing policies that are harming the vast majority of us and it's time to just admit he sucks and push back.

It’s a bit rich to hear the Feds and ‘Berta dismiss BC’s very real concern that we will be stuck with the bill in the event of a spill or other disaster. In return for what?

When I was a CPC staffer we brought in climate experts to speak to caucus and they would mention many different clean tech and options for emissions reduction.

The ONLY thing CPC MPs wanted to hear about was carbon capture because they saw it as a tool to not having to actually change anything.

Canada has had record breaking forest fires that show no signs of slowing down, let alone stopping, and Carney decides we can all stomach it so oil magnates can get more billions.

Wild how this article frames a full climate retreat as a friendly federal-provincial handshake. Alberta has spent a decade sabotaging the simplest climate policies in the country, and Carney’s response is to reward the obstruction by setting us back from meeting the Paris Agreement targets.

Is he playing her for the toddler she is? I don’t know. There’s a long timeline to any new pipeline and it may not happen in the end but the political capital that will be risked on Carney’s part (especially in BC) isn’t small.

Every Trump appointee is committed to ignoring the difference between holding a responsible office of the United States and being a partisan advocate hack. It's bad across the board, but it's catastrophically bad in the Attorney General, the Secretary of Defense, and the Directors of the FBI & CIA.
