I've posted some recent work at davidsankey.net
NJ does love flipping for some reason and our D candidate is for sure weak. As resident I'm perpetually scared, but I don't think the current environment is +1D. Polling average is like, +7, & early voting turnout this cycle has been extremely favorable to Dems (watch this age poorly in 24 hours).
it's nice. just my opinion.
I learned fairly recently that van gelder studio is about ten miles from where I live and I pass it a couple times a week on my bike and when I do I hum a love supreme when I spot the building through the trees
Having lived here for half a decade, it really has been incredibly easy to vote in Hudson (although there was a debacle with sample ballots not arriving this year; I didn't get mine in the mail until after I voted).
Seems important to note that if your public library offers access to Hoopla you can stream Popol Vuh's Nosferatu score for free any day of the year but especially today.
On the one hand, he's a big help to Mikie, and on the other I might end up with a mayor McGreevey because of him.
<ignoring the double-digit headwind which became a tailwind at exactly that point> THE DONUT MADE ME FASTER
Yeah that all makes sense to me. Thanks!
Your lips to God's ears etc. etc. but in the interest of managing my hopes and expectations is there anything concrete you're looking at that makes you think these outcomes are most likely?
Glad you're okay. Too many near misses in our city.
Oh wow! Can't wait to read. I'll DM you momentarily.
FYI, as much as I wish it weren't so, the one-way pairs you quoted here never came up for council vote for a variety of reasons and because of bad political actors. Fulop did well to put this on the table but the plan was half-baked and he did not do the political work required to make this happen.
It brings me no pleasure to admit but the UK eats our lunch w/r/t book cover design. Many such cases.
Which cover do you prefer? Now that I have author copies of both US and UK editions of TIGERS BETWEEN EMPIRES, I am giving away 1 of each, signed, to 2 random people who like/reskeet this. US addresses only. Will announce winners on Friday, Oct 24, 2025, before official release (Nov 4). 🐅🌍 #booksky
So short he's drowning in the shallow end
Everyone (and by everyone I mean 3 people) who spoke against the River Road project at the most recent county commissioners meeting started with "I'm not opposed to bike lanes, BUT..." and honestly it felt good that they had to prelude the nonsense they were about to launch into with that caveat
