I contributed some more goblin music to Goblands

I blew raspberries for percussion, it's very goblinny to do this I think.

I don't see how they could be printing your sculpts innocently. Somebody had to intentionally digitize your work and they didn't do it on accident

Every time an author accepts the compliment of “cool cover!” without crediting the illustrator and/or designer an illustrator gets carpal tunnel.

I hate the word "talented." It's an empty idea that obscures effort. I prefer to think some people are born with a "knack." A brain with a knack adapts to certain skillsets faster, but without dedication, knack falters. Many are born with more passion than knack, and passion succeeds every time.

I thought illustration paid like shit and saw a friend d took next to nothing for their first book and was appalled at what some artists are willing to work for and I am begging for yall to stop. The first step is to ask for a real price when doing commissions if you take them.
What really made me reconsider my prices was starting to work professionally. Once you start paying taxes on each of your gigs (and I'm proud of paying my part, don't get me wrong) you start to realise how much you need to charge to live decently.

We need to teach people the difference between being uncomfortable and being unsafe. Because the discomfort of the safest people is endangering the most vulnerable, all day every day.

I think everyone should take shop classes, it hurts me to see people not know what materials are or have the confidence to do simple repairs.

From the spiral shells of prehistoric ammonites to uncanny depictions of organs and fish, Hiné Mizushima has a knack for combining cuteness and humor with the unusual and unseen.

I think nearly the entire Horror genre boils down to the idea that it is worthwhile to fight until your very last breath. Even, and maybe especially, when there is no hope.
