The thing is, we need to eat and we need resources to do the work. Somebody’s gotta pay for it.

1. If you want indie journalism, you gotta pay for it.

2. Paywalls work. I resisted using a paywall for a long time until I realized I had to if I wanted to pay my bills.

3. Journalism is a public good that doesn't exist without public support. Keep it out of billionaire hands with a paid sub.

We do have a paywall, and that's because journalism has a cost. We pay all our contributors 0.50c a word & the founders haven't been compensated for the year, so we do ask for people to pay for our content. We still haven't made a profit this year, so we are unapologetic about that.

So is this for installations/updates on 5/2/25 and after, or should people who installed/updated 7zip several months prior to the vulnerability being reported be concerned? And does 7zip stay connected to the Internet after updating or would an unaffected update file be safe?

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.
That's why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed -because Young Republicans weren't radical enough.
