What really gets me is the people who claim to be the real Americans are the ones who are part of a movement that defies court orders, tries to overturn elections, weaponizes law enforcement, and sides with Russia over our allies, all things which are quintessentially unAmerican.

Honestly I’m not seeing much of a use for Bluesky. To be sure, lots of people I respect post on here. But basically no one I disagree with does.

The amount of anti-American bullshit that this administration and its allies are pushing is extremely dangerous. You might think they can’t succeed at changing the narrative of this country into an nativist, tribal, and cruel place. But give them ten more years and we’ll see.

We should try to figure out why this tragedy happened. That’s not politicizing a tragedy. And assuming there’s fault, holding the responsible parties accountable isn’t politicizing a tragedy. But that’s NOT what the right is doing. They’re weaponizing a tragedy to further their authoritarian project

We must spend the rest of our lives rebuilding what has been so corrupted. It is our obligation as patriotic Americans, but most likely, even under the best of circumstances, we will never be able to get back to a pre-2016 state of affairs. It’s such a great tragedy. 3/3
