House prices are forecast to increase by 9 percent next year on top of more than 6% this year, which will only worsen unless more pre-emptive action by APRA is taken.

This market is rigged in favour of wealthy property investors. You only need to look to latest ABS data, which shows investor lending skyrocketing by 12.3% over the yr compared to only a 0.9% increase for first-home buyer loan commitments for the same period. It’s out of control!

It’s clear the only thing Labor responds to is political pressure.

This is what happens when you have Greens in parliament fighting for you, what’s possible when we negotiate and refuse to back down from our values.

With your support, we’ve stopped the worst of Labor’s plans.

Together we can take on the major parties & their corporate donors.

This bill is better than the laws we have now, and it is far better than what would have been delivered if the government had done a deal with the climate-deniers in the Coalition.

Labor’s proposed bill would have given polluting corporations special treatment and caused more damage.

We’ve stopped Labor’s plan to fast-track coal and gas approvals in as little as 30 days.

Labor’s draft laws were written to fast-track corporate profit.

Now, native forest logging will be included under Federal enviro laws, after being exempt for over two decades.

We’ve closed the loopholes for land clearing, giving protections to critical habitat & the reef.

But Labor still refuses to take meaningful climate action.

They refuse to take into account climate damage when approving a coal or gas project.

This is the best we could get from a party captured by its fossil fuel donors.

But we’ll keep fighting.

The Greens have secured enviro laws with new protections for native forests & stopped Labor from fast-tracking coal & gas.

We’ve got outcomes that forest campaigners have fought for across decades.

We’ve made it harder for big corporations to keep wrecking our environment.

👇🏽The detail on new environment laws in Australia. Not perfect but an improvement with native forests with new protections Well done The Greens 👏👏👏

Did you know gas exports not only drive your gas bills, but your electricity bills also?

Even though gas is only 5% of electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM), it sets the electricity price because gas is so expensive.
