Right now Rikers Island, the physically largest jail in the entire United States, is holding under 7,000 people.

ICE's warehouse plans include detention camps which will hold between 8,500-10,000 people in buildings not designed for human habitation.

You just know part of the negotiations involved Jaleel White saying, "Yes, but only if I can be Stefan."
I'm seeing smart people who I like praise this commercial, and I'm honestly not seeing what they're seeing. It is the worst kind of nostalgia bait, just dropping familiar lines into the mouths of heavily CGI-ed celebrities. It's as if ChatGPT created the whole thing.

Do I speak Spanish? No.
Is this the best Super Bowl halftime show I’ve ever seen? Yes.

Based on the music and pop culture references, I am starting to think that the target demographic for this year’s Super Bowl commercials is 42 year old pastors who live in Decatur, GA.

💯
Super Bowl ads are a welcome reminder that elder Millennials are now The Demographic.

It’s stuff like this that makes it wildly unclear as to why most major outlets don’t have multiple religion reporters.
Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

I quite often hear of pundits saying, "If your pastor doesn't talk about X issue on Sunday, you should leave that church." But the truth is that if you are relying on pundits to determine your church membership, you should stop listening to those pundits.

Do one of the things that makes you feel better, because if you aren't doing any of that, you will run down. Today I did some writing. I'm a writer, & if I don't write, I run down. It's very easy for me to forget this, despite decades of knowing it. And so I am here to remind you to do your things.
