What would you do tomorrow if you were in charge of the country's finances?

Pleased to be part of this hugely significant legal challenge. The Boris Johnson Govt first suppressed the Russia report & then refused to act on it. As evidence mounts of Putin’s hybrid warfare, it’s vital that we can be confident in the robustness of our democratic systems

Pay Up!

It’s time all employers in the UK paid a liveable wage. It’s a bare minimum.

Living Wage Foundation have just announced that the rate has risen to £13.45 per hour/£14.80 in London.

We’ve had enough of being exploited. We’ve had enough of greedy bosses.

Thank you to @mrjamesob.bsky.social for having me on, one of the v few people in the UK press to follow this story during what is now a decade of media apathy &/or complicity
‘The threat couldn’t be more urgent and imminent. Yet here we are, still putting our head in the sand.’

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social says it’s ‘peculiar’ that the case of Farage ally Nathan Gill admitting to making pro-Russia speeches for cash isn’t being followed more closely.
Is that Putin's white T shirt behind Trump?
Labour clearly operates a culture of fear.

Moss: both beautiful and useful
"Tiny though it is, moss packs a punch - cools cities by releasing moisture, filters pollutants from the air, and shelters entire micro-ecosystems beneath its soft layers
Moss is not a weed. It’s protection, quietly working for our planet. Let it grow. Let it breathe. Let it live"

Great to support @leagueacs.bsky.social yesterday & speak about the need to strengthen the hunting ban, enhance enforcement and stop the 'accidental' killing of innocent wildlife. Govt must deliver on its promise to consult by end of the year. #EndHunting

I agree with this: Make Hope Normal Again is a brilliant slogan for our times. @zackpolanski.bsky.social is shifting the narrative, not just responding to it... And, let's face it, it's high time someone did that! 👏
We see you Zack Polanski 👀
People who watch GB News, read the DM, in a social media bubble, believe them.

A friend's social group did a 'vote for policies' quiz and was puzzled: how come we all got Reform, when we all think Farage is a t**t?

They're inherently loyal, the opposite of early adopters. Give them time.
For those who can comfortably do this:
💰 Last year Labour's turnover was over £90m and the Tories' was over £50m, while ours was £5m.

📈 We must close this gap quickly if we are to replace Labour for good and take the fight to Reform.

Donate now to help us scale up fast and make hope normal again ⤵️
I would like to see a cap on donations across parties. It seems deeply wrong that electoral success should be all about who has the most spending money.

But sadly that's the way it works (for now, at least) so upping my contribution.
I think definitely carry on. Most of us are locked into our bubbles. People speaking across the divide is really rare. It's a good use of your platform, contributes to a growing mood in the UK.

And remember that many people who sound angry and defensive in the moment, go away and reflect in private
Can anyone tell this almost-as-old-as-god Spotify user where else I can listen to my favourite tunes?
