Israel's continued establishment and expansion of settlements stands in flagrant violation of international law and cannot continue without consequence. The UK Government must urgently move to ban trade with illegal settlements.

Farmers are on the front lines of the climate crisis, with extreme weather leading to record losses in 2025.

The govt must take urgent steps to invest in tackling climate breakdown now, including targeted support for farmers to move to more climate-resilient methods.

@elliechowns.bsky.social explains how Labour's budget fails to deliver the transformational change needed to address the cost of living crisis.

Reeves's decision to lower energy bills by cutting funding for home insulation isn't a real solution; it's robbing Peter to pay Paul.

But it doesn't need to be this way - by taxing wealth fairly, we can have lower bills and investment in affordable warmer homes at the same time.

Truth and accountability are crucial for public trust in politics; that's why I'm backing @compinpolitics.bsky.social's campaign for a targeted legal measure that would make it an offence for any politician or candidate to deliberately mislead the public on a matter of verifiable fact.

Families of children with special educational needs in my constituency have been waiting for more than 18 months for an update on two schools which are crucial for local specialist educational provision - they should not have to wait any longer.

Another exciting week as your MP holding the government to account on fair funding for rural communities, action on tackling climate breakdown, cost-of-living and wealth tax measures, and much more!

Extremely useful meeting this morning with cross-party River Wye MPs and campaigners to discuss next steps to tackle pollution. There is so much more that needs to be done, especially considering the disappointing Diffuse Water Pollution Plan published last week. Determined to keep up work on this!
We had a brilliant and productive meeting in Hereford this morning with three of our MPs representing the River Wye catchment.

Huge thanks to @catherinefookesmp.bsky.social @elliechowns.bsky.social & David Chadwick.

Lots of action to come to tackle flooding & river pollution.

Real action on climate change requires funding, not just rhetoric. The govt must commit to contributing to the Tropical Forest Forever Facility fund and Just Transition Mechanism if we are to address climate breakdown.

"This is a really obvious thing the Government should do: tax wealth fairly."

@elliechowns.bsky.social outlines what the Green Party would have done differently at the Budget to cut bills by taxing wealth fairly.

Govt has just slipped out its North Sea Future Plan while all eyes are on the budget.

Glad govt sticking to manifesto promises not to grant new licenses but disappointing to see tie-backs allowed - a needless concession to an industry in decline that won't help energy security.

Why is Labour restricting scrutiny on the Budget?

Laying a 'Tax Charge' motion exerts undue control over MPs' ability to amend & scrutinise the Budget. Tories started this tactic in 2018 but Labour has a massive majority; why continue a restrictive trend of discouraging debate?

The Chancellor's decision to cut energy bills by raiding the Warm Homes Plan isn't a genuine solution to fuel poverty; it's robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Ridiculous to prioritise short-term headlines at the expense of long-term delivery when costs could be funded by taxing wealth.

The Chancellor explicitly references the negative legacy of Brexit on the UK economy - so why is her govt so opposed to taking steps like joining the customs union or single market with all the economic benefits these would bring? #Budget2025

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza persists, goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the OPT continue to be imported into Britain's markets - proceeds of a crime under international law.

The govt must urgently ban the import of these goods and press for aid to flow into Gaza.

If a just and lasting peace is to be secured, it is Ukrainian voices - not Donald Trump's, not those of Russian aggressors - which need to be front and centre in all discussions on Ukraine's future.

Ahead of tomorrow's Budget, the Green Party's message couldn't be clearer: cut bills, tax billionaires.

We live in a massively unequal society - it's time to change that. Tax wealth fairly, reduce the strain on ordinary families, and invest in public services.

Rural constituencies like North Herefordshire face additional costs in delivering services due to the unique challenges of rurality.

The govt must ensure the Fair Funding Review takes this into account and properly allocates the funding rural communities need.

Brilliant to spend the day at the Rivers conference in Herefordshire discussing innovative technology and projects combatting pollution, soil loss and more!

Always fantastic to hear about the great work already being done to restore our rivers and discuss what more we need to do!

On #CarersRightsDay I recognised the countless unpaid carers like my constituent, who work tirelessly and prop up the care sector and NHS, yet struggle financially and emotionally without support.

No one should have to choose between providing care and making ends meet.
