But this Bluesky place isn't too bad... might stay awhile
The numbers don't stack up in support of the media fixation with the 'rise in youth crime'.

Is Australia in a youth crime crisis? Here’s what the numbers say
State governments across the country have brought in harsher laws to deal with youth crime in recent years. But do the stats justify the punitive measures?

#Auspol Time to end the greed. Add tax rates to Australias system 50% at $600k 60%at $800k 70% at $1 Mill. 80% at $1.5 Million. Workers entitled to get the same percentage payrises each year as CEOs give themselves at a minimum. Lowest paid should get 1% above each year to close the pay gap
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1

CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1

CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 280-to-1

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.

We are meant to believe the NACC is still trying to establish if somebody should be held to account on #Robodebt.
They are now preparing for their Xmas time-off while victims and their families have to see off yet another year without justice. I’ll be thinking of them this Xmas.
It’s almost 2yrs since the day Commissioner Catherine Holmes handed down her final report on Robodebt & referred those responsible for criminal prosecution. It was a day we felt like finally something was happening.
I’m so sorry to all victims who are STILL waiting for justice.

A stupid and unjust entangling of policing and welfare.

The Albanese govt should put their time and effort into things that would make a real difference:
fixing the ineffective job provider scheme, and getting rid of the cruel and counterproductive 'mutual obligation' system. #poverty #auspol
