I knew Charlie Kirk’s assassination would have an impact on the conservative movement, but even I underestimated the impact it would have.

It has torn people apart and the biggest impact is at the grassroots level.

Dr. Jonathan Reiner on why he was alarmed by Trump's speech: "It was delivered with a manic cadence -- almost a frantic cadence ... it was disturbing to watch. It was disturbing because he's the commander in chief."

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

I worked with Rob and Michelle Reiner on this for a year.

Albert recommended me. I dug up all the archival stuff.

I'd never met the Reiners before, but they were so welcoming and gracious and supportive. Down to earth.

What an honor it was to work with them.

Within 15 minutes today, I got two back-to-back notifications of deaths at ICE facilities.

28 people have died in ICE custody since Trump took office. These facilities are overcrowded & are putting their own profits over health and safety. We need oversight & accountability NOW.

They're people. Petty, ugly people who hate each other as much as they hate us. Use that. Demobilize them.

MAGA is fighting each other. Trump's getting old and it's creating a power vacuum. It feels "smart" to tell yourself not to feel hope because these people will never change. But it's wrong.

They don't need to change. They just need to hate each other so much they can't organize.

You can defeat your opponents without converting them. Demobilization matters.

When there's a leadership vacuum and people in a movement are fighting each other, it saps energy. They lose organizational power. Fewer of them take action. Fewer vote.
