I love this!
Rep. Yassamin Ansari has set up a table and this sign outside Speaker Johnson’s office.

👏👏👏
Moms for Liberty (aka racist Nazi moms who need to get a life)

went 0 for 32 last night.

Every single one of their candidates lost.

All of them.

Teeee heee! 🤣🤪

NEW: Foreign food safety inspections have hit a historic low after Trump staffing cuts. The dramatic shift in oversight comes as the U.S. has never been more reliant on foreign food.

Foreign Food Safety Inspections Hit Historic Low After Trump Cuts
The dramatic shift in oversight comes at a time when the U.S. has never been more reliant on foreign food, which accounts for the vast majority of the nation’s seafood and more than half its fresh fruit.

Damn- these people all sound like Sgt. Schultz. Even when played a video where everyone else can see what’s going on. SMH.
Got inspired to clean up my big sample of native copper. Wow- pretty happy with the result! Love the little dendrites.
Gotta keep the pressure up.
This has been going on for years. D's gave up on MO- maybe we'll see a change now. Have a good candidate running for Ann Wagner's Congressional seat, but he will need support.
The national D's have, IMO, abandoned MO where Jess and I live. There are good candidates here, but they get little money OR support from the national party. Maybe last night will start to change that?

Just wrote an upbeat (!) Morning Shots.

I mean, if not today, when?

We should relish this moment. For a few hours. Because we should realize that these results are going to make the Trump administration even more aggressive about tilting the 2026 playing field, and we need to be ready for that.
Exactly. Keep the momentum going. Don't stop 'til you get to the top.
Friendly reminder that yesterday was proof of concept of what can be achieved. While it gave a lot of hope and energy, we need to remember it’s time to scale that effort. Dems tend to have strong wins and then fall back asleep. Not this time.
This is just SO absurd!!
I voted on my 1 issue today. So far only 6% of my county’s voters (some of whom have more issues on their ballots) have cast votes. I know- early, but not promising
That's what I say! VOTE.
If you have election tomorrow that you can vote in then make sure you do your goddamn American duty and help save this place!
Oh nooo! Bread instead of a bun!! What WILL we do? 🙄
As I remember it, Obamacare was intended to be negative label for the ACA. More sarcastic. Why the label has stuck around, I don't know except for F47 and friends to make fun of it and say he has a big, beautiful concept to replace it with.
Agree, but I have a hard time imagining how this works (i.e. hospitals). Maybe incentives for businesses to encourage/provide time for employees to vote? Maybe incentives for employees? Contests among small business corridors? Just spitballing. Or mail-in ballots? (Radical, I know.)

🧪Farm workers in California are falling sick with H5N1 symptoms. RFK Jr. has ordered to not test or report cases, to keep it under wraps.

Shady actions like this, to keep the public in the dark is why NEJM & CIDRAP are launching weekly public health alerts, free for the public.

I have only one issue on my ballot tomorrow. But I'm going to vote when many would shrug their shoulders and say "eh." It's the little elections that add up to big ones. VOTE.
Just watch the video. Bingo.
Speaker Mike Johnson vs Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes -- who knows less about what's going on?
This shit is getting worse and worse.
In Chicago, a woman was driving to get coffee when a DHS vehicle fleeing an angry crowd crashed into her car. Armed agents jumped out of the vehicle, yanked her door open, pulled her by the legs out of her car at gunpoint, held her incommunicado for hours, then released her with no charges.
