As she says, lap mats can be used to remove a cat from your lap when needed, as well as protection from claws and a comfy cushion for the cat.

Crafty's cat lap mats are fantastic. We have one for our son's cat when she stays with us. So handy to be able to lift the mat with cat in situ and place her next to me so I can have a 'comfort break'. Not to mention the protection from claws when she decides to get down. Ouch
