The beginnings of a mitten for #wipwednesday, knit with 2 strands of Plötulopi - a pure, unspun roving Icelandic wool in Ash heather colour.
The yarn is v fragile as a single strand but knits well double.
Pattern is Lovikka Mittens by Kristin Drysdale.

The combination of hot pinks, lushious greens, grape purples, bold oranges, and crystal blues make the emotion of the painting much like an overwhelming party with loud music. This picture is of a scarred, cut up canvas that was spraypainted black and drybrushed with navy blue, army green, and banana yellow. The open, healing wounds ooze with pus and goo. The picture is of a sculpted heart made out of air dry clay and acrylic paint in front of a white background. The picture is of "Chev's House", a still-life acrylic painting. Stone carving update! I'm on the polishing and finishing step. This has been such an interesting process. It's a super meditative art form, and you really don't need much to do it! Feels so cool to carve stone the same way it's always been done. I'm very proud of how the hand turned out.

I've started working on a St. Birgitta cap and want to embroider all three rows of interlaced herringbone as shown on the extant cap. Here is a sample to test some 40/2 linen thread in the scale of the original embroidery.

I've been struggling to work on creative projects for the last few months so I made myself a little embroidery advent calendar to get back into daily sewing, taking some inspiration from @karenjturner.bsky.social. quite happy with how it is going so far...
The picture shows red canvas in a circular embroidery hoop. The shape of a Christmas tree is outlined in white stem stitch with 24 sections marked within the tree in various shapes. 16 sections have been filled in with space filling embroidery stitches in different colours. Eight sections are still empty.

First time ever attaching a collar - to my first ever jacket toile. The pattern has no instructions. Made lots of mistakes and learnt a lot. Fitting issues so will adjust the pattern and try again. It’s discouraging but l’m determine to get there eventually. #garmetsewing
