I can't wait until a future civilization discovers a shitpost I made about how stupid my cats are and declares it a Wisconsonian proverb.
May as well dive right in.

Did you know that dogs in ancient Mesopotamia also refused to drop the ball?

According to a Sumerian proverb, “The dog understands ‘Take it!’ It does not understand ‘Put it down!’”

DC comrades, vigil for Alex Pretti at the VA headquarters on Vermont Ave at 5:30. I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to go out in this but just in case.

Look I get it, no one likes what appears to be a flip answer, but if he's legitimately unsure about the legality surrounding administrative warrants, it's equally bad (if not worse) for him to say something that might be untrue! Why is a reporter asking a Senator that question and not a lawyer?

Renee Good didn't "die for" anything! She was a victim, and the Online Left invoking her name against people they deem unfit is the most disrespectful, ghoulish thing I can imagine. Shut the fuck up.

I feel a lot of people are so intent on the end goal that they lose all context.

Dems are demanding real improvements. Are they wholly sufficient? Of course not! Senate Dems will probably be the first to admit that.

But the alternative is nothing. Abolish ice is not an actual possible outcome here

This is the main thing "progressives" refuse to understand or accept.
Real progress, that sticks, takes a long time. There are huge setbacks & incremental wins. You may not & probaboy wont see your goal achieved 💯 in your lifetime. It's a generational battle.

If you think that clear new restrictions on ICE agents that even the GOP is now forced to agree upon are insufficient, I'd like to ask that you log off rather than engage in wrecker behavior. This is a massive win, and ICE won't be abolished in a single day. It's death by a thousand cuts.

If the NFL even considers taking away the championship game from the team that earns homefield advantage, they can go fuck themselves sideways. Why should all that revenue go to a neutral city? Why should the fans OF BOTH TEAMS be forced to travel cross-country to watch their teams compete?
Everyone hates the idea of neutral-site conference championship games. Until the fourth quarter of Patriots-Broncos, which was unplayable -- and unwatchable.
Should conference championships be played at neutral sites?
Patriots-Broncos snowstorm could dust off an old debate.

"They didn't want fascism!" he yells about the people who voted for the fascist.
Seriously, folks, people did NOT vote for murder on the streets. A majority of those who voted went for Trump, and to win power, those against Trump will have to win many of them over, not reject them all as people who want fascism.

The answer is "yes of course they did, didn't you see the 'Mass Deportations Now' signs at the RNC?"

They're not sorry they voted for him, they're angry they can't ignore the pain they caused. How come their apologies always come with an excuse or blame for someone other than their own stupid self?
Did anyone actually vote to have masked Federal agents hold US citizens down and shoot them in the back?

No one is afraid of the man, is his problem. So of course, he makes it *our* problem.
Minneapolis, MN -

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

I'm gonna need to know your alternative to elections...
Americans should review the D&D Alignment Chart—it helps to understand what we're up against.

LAWFUL EVIL: Mike Johnson
NEUTRAL EVIL: Lindsay Graham
CHAOTIC EVIL: Donald Trump, Stephen Miller, Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, and the orc army that attacked Gondor

Now tell me how elections will fix this.

Y'all thought "Minnesota Nice" was just a cute slogan. We take care of our own.
I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

Put slightly differently, if 90% of the population lived within a 3-hour drive of one major city, the footage of No Kings protests from June and October would look *radically* different. And they already looked huge!
Folks just don’t understand the scales involved, too. The longest drive in France from end to end is something like 600 miles, where in the US it is something like 2800 miles. Much more difficult to get a bunch of people in one place, logistically.
'Why aren't they in the streets' is answered almost every day in my small town by people in the streets! Rather than asking 'why aren't they in the streets' it's worth asking 'why isn't your media showing them in the streets' and 'who is served by downplaying resistane in its myriad forms.'
