Going to start a list of every program, agency, board, etc. that I can find that we know have been DOGEd out of existence. (You can also just check in with @kellylsmith.bsky.social at UCSD, where she maintains an exhaustive list of acronyms and links, including monthly data on who's been 404d).

your tactic of protesting in an inflatable frog suit which gets normal people on your side is far inferior to my tactic of posting about laser blinding helicopter pilots which is both wildly illegal and, were it to succeed, would put basically *everyone* against me

It's hard to help Americans left behind because so much of US identity is rooted in individualism. The average American conservative holds all three positions at once:

— Virtue signals about supporting US manufacturing
— Against raising the minimum wage
— Buys foreign imports because they're cheap
HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "I'm willing to pay more for quality products if they are made in America, by Americans, who are paid a decent income." The tweet shows Norman Rockwell's "Freedom of Speech" painting, which is often used to show the tweeter is expressing a brave opinion. HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "MINIMUM WAGE JOBS WERE NOT MEANT TO BE A CAREER. Why does no one understand this? Entry level jobs are STEPPING STONES to better jobs. No one wants to work towards that though." HardPass4 on Twitter tweets: "Buy $5 gloves instead of $50 ones. Trust me." The tweet shows a box of "Gorilla Grip" gloves. The label on Gorilla Grip gloves show they're made in China.

Maybe remove the back wheel from one or both bikes, if that’s even possible? Should be able to do that without tools, or at most an adjustable wrench, and that at least removes some of the chain/gear complexity of whatever’s going on there.

The Nazis literally named a street after von Trotha, whose genocidal slaughter of the Herero and Nama, including concentration camps, proved too much even for the Kaiser; all the inspiration they needed was right at hand.

The actual process of how you replace ICE is an interesting one because the obvious answer is more or less recreate legacy INS while hitting the ERO dudes with the Camden model *but* that runs the risk that eventually the new ERO dudes take over the culture/agency
unavaleable.bsky.social
i mean you can probably consolidate ERO and USCIS into a new agency and give HSI tracks to BATF/DAE/FBI etc and the reapplication process filter a lot of people out

Border Patrol and refugees are kind of the tough part of the story; all I can think of with the former is to sharply limit their responsibility to the border itself, not chasing folks into the interior, while the whole refugee temporary detainment policy needs a total overhaul for morality’s sake.

I feel like part of the path here is “move immigration courts under Article III” alongside “place the Marshals Service under direct judicial control,” make criminal alien removal a Marshals’ issue, limit ICE part 2 to being a legal paperwork agency, and lay off anyone who doesn’t go along.

One of the fun second-order effects has been that, because Trump has now made a great many promises to a great many powerful SV billionaires, Beijing essentially holds the whip hand on whether Trump can make good those promises, something I assume they are very aware of in negotiations.

And, really, from the point of view of the day, the 11th Amendment was also fixing a flaw in the system; a great many voices were raised against the consequences of Chisholm v. Georgia, but very few denied the legitimacy of the ruling (Iredell’s lone dissent was little-noted at the time).

“The American government is so evil it cannot enter a church without bursting into flame” is a spicy take, but I’ve got to accept the man’s professional opinion on the matter.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

“ICE cited a ‘legacy deportation order’ dating back to the 1980s [and an intent to distribute plea]. … Subu, who was born in India but arrived in the United States when he was 9 months old, was never deported because he was serving a life sentence.”

Trump said he deserved a cut for brokering the TikTok deal, and at once there was agreement that his son Baron would have a top executive slot... though he hasn't asked for it, and has no apparent qualifications to hold it. This is how Trump 2.0 works. www.telegraph.co.uk/us/news/2025...

Local education agencies depend on federal funds to help all kids get quality education. The Trump administration just gutted special education in the United States.

I do think that the antideficiency violations to go after would be the people somehow executing layoffs during the shutdown and those creating those partisan anti-Democrat ads with Noem that are suddenly running in the airports.

I don't know if there's such a thing as a "world cyberwar" but I think we are in one? and the US is determined to lose it. 🧵

Today the admin is mass-firing the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the nation's cybersecurity protection across all levels of government.
