The Posting Injury Severity Scale, or PISS, is a tool clinicians can use to determine the type and degree of harm a post has inflicted on a social media user.

The PISS is a sum of 4 subscales:

1. Injured user
2. Magnitude of harm
3. Alteration of perception
4. Ego compromise

The other funny think about the Markka is that it isn't issued by the OSU proper, but instead one of its member worlds: Tuuki. The Tuuki Core Bank is a separate entity from the OSU, but accedes to OSU regulations and guidance, and correspondingly became the de-facto currency issuer of the OSU.
The rule of thumb is that they can be exchanged if there isn't an Auric patrol group in orbit.
Markka are used in the exchange of consumer and luxury goods (when such things are not just gifted or traded) but necessities are distributed for free at point of service generally.
The OSU Markka is correspondingly used beyond the OSU, and between them and their related systems, but sees more limited use within its own borders. Most economies in the OSU are non-market, and goods distribution is tracked via Joule, or the energy expended to make the good or perform the service.
In Stars Go Cold's Amnesia Space, there's two major currencies: the Markka and the Aurium, issued by the Omnistellar Union and the Auric Empire respectively.

The Auric Empire has a broadly capitalist econony and uses the Aurium both within its borders, and its used within its sphere of influence.
The largest war Amnesia Space ever fought is unfolding and will last for decades, and the inciting incident - the Murder of Hutes - is only raising more questions. Fleets destroy each other in the void and armies tear each other apart on countless planets, all over a mystery growing starker.
But there's unanswered questions.

What happened to the fleet that was dispatched to the system?

Why were there no survivors or witnesses in colonies elsewhere in the solar system?

Why were a massive number of casualties killed /before/ the detonations without any signs of trauma or other cause?
Hutes.

On one hand, it's pretty cut and dry. The Auric Empire orbitally bombarded the planet with nuclear weapons, effecting a genocide against the rebelling population. The fleet was dispatched to quell the rebellion, and forensic invesitigators from other polities confirmed the bombardment.

And then there's the Process. The rogue terraforming, respurce accumulation, capital development, and commodity production machines of an ancient dead species still spreads through the galaxy one world at a time. The effluent waste byproducts of these autononous factories gradually contaminate

As far as biology goes, it is a fairly mundane disease. Vaccines may already have been developed for it, and impatient nanite therapy can clear an infection.

But it persists because intelligent
Oh boy.

Of course, there's the Chronophage Virus. This is a disease propogating through space and, crucially, backwards through time. The virus targets an organism's nervous and respiratory systems, and once it achieves acute infection it sporadically pushes its host backwards through time in
