They don't use money once you're there so they're all free

Thank you, that's very kind. The project is just me, and I'm just a guy.

Around the home yes, but most work is done on Terminals which are basically screens with a keyboard networked to a district computer. You can find terminals at schools, workplaces, libraries, etc.

They use optical circuits, and in many ways are more powerful than ours, but have hard limits on their miniaturisation and draw industrial amounts of power.

I've written about the tech here: millmint.net/factbook/tec...
Computers · MillMint
Computers in Vekllei are optical machines that can do tremendous amounts of productive work at the speed of light.

It helps, of course, that they live on islands with good food, beautiful men and women, wine, spices and myrrh.

Far from abolishing the Olds, moneylessness has actually intensified them. They adore etiquette, titles, good manners, gifts and privileges: millmint.net/factbook/bul...

Rather than abolishing titles and etiquette, post-scarcity society in Vekllei has intensified them as economic relations become primarily social.

Vekllei's social economy is very pure idea: people do not use money in everyday life.

Like most pure ideas, it's actually very complicated, and so they have a sophisticated constellation of markets, incentives, heavy industry, automation and culture that facilitates it.

The Commonwealth National Economic Register is basically a giant computer that prices goods in a social economy. That's important, because they indicate demand.

Read about the moneyless economy, and the formulae that determine these signals here: millmint.net/factbook/sta...

The commons is Vekllei's domestic moneyless economy, operating through automated industrial production and participatory work.

a defining characteristic of their workwear is the patterns. They freaking LOVE patterns, which are often accessorised. The style and colour depends on where you are

she's getting divorced and has to do some paperwork in town

She's in the Rum Republic, part of Commonwealth Lucaya. Life is good there when you're not getting divorced.

Vekllei overconfidence in their money abilities is a real phenomenon (they call them "displaced millionaires").

Because they are familiar with capital and markets through systems and games, they tend to think of money as a game and overestimate their ability to "win" it.

They live in Oslola, which we call Iceland, but you can see how federation has influenced cuisine.

Tzipora has made salad from the Bahamas, drinks from the West Indies, flavoured rice from the Canaries and lamb is a staple of the northern and southern Atlantic.

She often makes dinner for her "father," Baron and her "friend," Cobian.

We know Tzipora primarily as a goofball, but she's actually a really good cook and is a very sincere and hardworking person.

This "hot plate" is a great example of modern Commonwealth cuisine.
