A picture is worth 1000 words:

At what I think was one of the most extreme, kooky, anti-science press conferences in history, you see Trump & RFK Jr’s henchmen—3 medically trained men doing their anti-vaxx bidding, Drs Bhattacharya, Makary, & Oz

The damage these MDs are doing is incalculable

Martin Kulldorff is a real crank. Just a fringe guy all around.

Fell from Harvard Medical School to the anti-vax, conspiracy-promoting Brownstone Institute.

And now he’s the chair of our CDC’s vital vaccine advisory group.

Shame for our country. Embarrassing, frankly.

People ought to start noticing that MAHA ignores three major killers ...

Alcohol, cigarettes, and guns

Why?

It's fine to have a goal to make people healthy, but shouldn't we emphasize what is really killing them?

Federal Report on Drinking Is Withdrawn

The upcoming U.S. Dietary Guidelines will instead be influenced by a competing study, favored by industry, which found that moderate alcohol consumption was healthy.

One of my pet peeves. NYT and others keep calling him a vaccine skeptic not a vaccine opponent.

ABC News is still calling RFK Jr. a “vaccine skeptic.” The dude was one of the most prominent anti-vaccine activists for decades. There’s video of him in 2023 saying that there’s no vaccine which is safe and effective. You can call him an anti-vaccine activist!

Why do I blame Bill Cassidy for the destruction of the CDC and the NIH?

Because he is a physician. He knew or should have known the danger that Kennedy poses to the U.S. and the globe.

Kennedy has never hidden what he is—a predator, a fraud, an anti-science hack, and a gargantuan narcissist.

He needs to be prosecuted and locked up.

Dr. Dmitri Daskalakis, who resigned from the CDC says that RFKJr said he believes that Avian flu should be allowed to "burn through" the chickens and then children and others, so we can propagate a "stronger species". RFKJr believes in eugenics.

RFKJr needs to resign or be fired.

An M.I.T. study found that 95% of companies that had invested in A.I. tools were seeing zero return. It jibes with the emerging idea that generative A.I., “in its current incarnation, simply isn’t all it’s been cracked up to be,” johncassidysays.bsky.social writes.

Like the steam engine, electricity, and computers, generative artificial intelligence could take longer than expected to transform the economy.

I really do not understand it. There are few Democratic leaders who have risen to this moment. There is no serious opposition party in the US right now. It's frigthening.

If you had told me 30 years ago that Michael Luttig and Bill Kristol would have a clearer understanding about what's going on than a lot of Democratic leaders, I'd have wondered whether you tried the brown acid.
matthewstiegler.bsky.social
Luttig is communicating vastly more clearly and honestly about Roberts and Scotus than most Democratic officials are. It’s absolutely flabbergasting.

One day after a man who reportedly believed that the COVID vaccine had injured him shot up the CDC, HHS announced that a doctor with a history of casting doubt on the safety of the mRNA vaccines is being reinstated as the FDA’s top vaccine regulator.

Cassidy, a physician, pledged to work closely with Kennedy, presumably to stop him from doing stuff like this. In fact he had no power to do so and rarely speaks up about Kennedy at all. www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...
