For anyone who is interested… I’ve recorded two podcasts. Two more scheduled for December. At this rate hoping for an April launch. That’ll be nice won’t it - Spring. Blossoming. New starts. I like that. I like the idea of quietly launching it (like the last one) and people gradually discovering it🙂

A lady in a local art shop is making these for charity, I've just had the most wonderful life-affirming Beatles chat with her. She was one of Gerry Marsden's friends and her mum went out with George Harrison. I bloody love Beatle people.

If anyone wants one, I'm very happy to buy more Beatles!

I recently made a companion playlist of 300 tracks for my new #IntoTheGroove book. Chronologically arranged 1980-1989, some of it's familiar, some of it's less so. It's not an exhaustive list, but I hope it gives you a flavour of the book's scope. www.tunemymusic.com/share/kQHEUO...

I kind of reckon that everyone who follows me who was planning to back this probably has done already (and it’s really appreciated…)… but if you haven’t and you WERE planning to, there really is only a few hours left to get one of the first or have your dedication in it…

#NowPlaying
Spine tinglingly beautiful!

Aside from the wondrous singles so far, a standout is I Want You.

Reliably top notch, fusing wit with poignancy & genuinely touching moments.

Neil Hannon is a genius - his songs move you in the same way as his namesake… Mr Innes

Glad they’ve seen sense, but I hope not too many people have already paid for the boxset in order to get Anthology 4.

New Beatles info!

Why Don’t we do it in the Road?, which was recorded on 9 October 1968, also makes a brief appearance on another White Album song recorded more than four months earlier.

Have a listen to this isolated backing track from 20/31 May 1968:

Currently on a massive early-1960s binge.

US/Russian tensions - threats of nuclear war - apartheid - civil rights movement/racial tension - older generation criticising the younger etc etc.

And so the beat goes on… and on…
