Last year I started a Valentine’s themed series inspired by old vintage, romance comics. I had loads of fun doing them so have drawn a few more and decided to make it an annual thing. I’ll be posting the new ones, as well as some of last year’s, over the next couple of weeks.

A lovely print from @stuffbymark.bsky.social - you might recognise these fellas. But I’ve just seen that it’s slipped in the frame so that’s a job for tomorrow.

If I hadn't already got a different @stuffbymark.bsky.social Monkees picture for Christmas I'd be all over this like jam on a baby's face...

If Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Red Right Hand if it was a movie…and had a poster designed by Saul Bass. Couple of big ifs there.

It's Bowie's birthday, which means it's time for the annual repost of my drawing of a bunch of dancing Daves in the style of Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts. Happy Birthday, Mr Jones.

In my corner of the bass-playing universe there was life pre- and post-Mani. He brought a liquid, melodic funkiness that EVERYONE copied. And when I finally met him he was exactly how you imagined him: joyful, generous, unstarry (& more of a star because of it) and wickedly funny. A life well lived

Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Mani. It’s hard to overstate what a massive impact the Roses had on my formative years and beyond. I could talk about it for hours, but this isn’t the time or place. Rest in peace Mani.
