Online Trump: virulent, jet flying pinnacle of health and masculinity.

IRL Trump: handshakes give my hand a sad pls stop.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Now, imagine all the recruits that juuuust eeked by trying to move around with 40+lbs of gear on.
Lecturing active soldiers about being too fat while dropping standards so low for the ICE deportation force that a third of their recruits can't handle the easiest PT test I've ever heard of www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

This Anthropic settlement is weird bc yeah for sure pay up, but also if they’d asked to purchase the rights to use my books for their trash I would have said no, so doing it anyway and then paying in the form of a settlement is still slimy backdoor shit
As always, "punishable by fine" means "legal for a price".

alt-text: Fake Bluesky alert: “Your Bluesky account is temporarily suspended…” urges verification via a shortened link. Message claims to be from “Bluesky Security Department.”

Student media rules. They are lapping a lot of the spineless media orgs this year and showing how solidarity is the way.
They believe bluesky is nothing but lefties, so they figure if they make accounts here they can farm violent responses and death threats to help "prove" the left is a dangerously radicalized movement.

So yeah, don't feed the trolls.
Very curious why certain federal agencies decided to migrate to Bluesky. Bored with X? The government is still shut down so presumably they aren’t even getting paid.

Don't engage. Just block. They want to push their rage bait on here. Don't give them the satisfaction.

I explained why flour would be dangerous in reply to their post, and they blocked me.
Flour is a dangerously bad idea.. it's is extremely flammable, especially when airborne in a cloud (like it would be if you were trying to pour it through the top of a traffic cone).

Doing this is just begging for a dust explosion.
FFS they're out there telling people to turn a tear gas canister into a dust bomb.

Swearing in isn’t some ceremony. You aren’t a member of Congress until it happens. He knows that.

No phones, no staff, nothing.

I had to escort her into the Capitol on Wed bc Capitol police must treat her as a public visitor until she’s sworn in. And solo visitors aren’t allowed during shutdown!
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)

Instead of "This is inappropriate!" Democrats - especially those who might run for president - should say right now "Anyone who participates in this should know: You are committing a crime, and in the next administration you will be prosecuted."

That will change the frame of the story.
Again, it is a full-blown federal felony crime for anyone in the White House or Executive Office of the President to order tax investigations into anyone.

And it's not just a crime to DO it, it's even a federal crime for an employee not to REPORT such an order to the Treasury Inspector General.
I spent a few days there for work years back, and absolutely loved the place.

Core to playing this down is pretending that "Young Republicans" aren't 40 years old with top positions in both the party and government. One's a state senator.
the "kids" were mostly 30+ years old and said they love hitler
"if we ever had a leak of this chat we would be cooked fr fr"

I sincerely hope that turns out to be true, because this is a level of institutional rot that needs a cleansing fire.
Can confirm, I'm my wife's biggest cheerleader.

Like, she was accepted into the 2026 Boston Marathon and HOLY SHIT I'm shouting that from the rooftops every chance I get, because love and pride.

It should not be understated how much clever shit like this actually annihilates morale at places like ICE/CBP.

Getting made fun of like this on national television while people laugh at you is.. well, you may call it victory wine, but it ain't.
ChatGPT: saying "please" and "thank you" in prompts is costing us 7+ digits.. knock it off

Also chatGPT: we're rolling out mindless thirst trap upgrades to encourage as many interactions as possible
With the level of realtime location and tracking info needed to launch a precision airstrike, surely the navy could also send a ship to intercept the suspect vessel.

You know, just to be sure it's actually bad guys and not random fisherman.
Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.
The military has now killed 27 people as if they were enemy soldiers in a war zone and not criminal suspects. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/14/u...
