I was cooking with this one
Niche Lower Hudson Valley Post incoming:

If Sleepy Hollow is serious about playing up their spookiness and being NY's answer to Salem, MA, they ought to provide more affordable housing for artists, so we can live there and continue to make great horror-tinged art there.

I can never be allowed to write/direct a video game adaptation because it will inevitably be something like "OUTLAST II: WE'RE LEANING INTO THE CATHOLIC SCHOOL HALLUCINATION SEQUENCES" or "RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE: OOPS! ALL BENEVIENTO!"

Update on the production of my no-budget horror feature: Gonna be location scouting and abandoned building in my hometown next week. I am inordinately excited for this.

Can we just stop it with Hot Ones already? It had a good run, but I think we've evolved past the need for Hot Ones.

Ahem.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

Found out I share a birthday with Paul Walter Hauser. Pretty cool! One of those guys I'm always excited to see pop up in a movie.

Is the spokesman in those GovX dot com commercials supposed to be that off-putting or…?

Watching RETURN OF THE FLY for the first time.

I now understand why the lyrics to the Misfits’ song about this film are just a repetition of the title and names of actors in it.

If one were looking to get into the works of S.A. Cosby, what’s the best book to start with?

Ok, last time I mentioned wanting to write a Space Ghost comic, the writer behind the current Dynamite series told me off, so Im going to re-adjust my aim here:

I want to write A Johnny Quest comic, but one specifically working off the 90s "Real Adventures" series.

Going to start limiting my YouTube intake to music and movies/tv shows I can't find anywhere else. Video essays are losing their luster for me.

Been really getting into LOAD-era Metallica recently. Make of that what you will. Good music to write to.

Today would have been George Lowe’s 68th birthday, so I’m going to marathon some episodes and start learning how to play SGC2C theme song on guitar today in his honor.

I’m like 90% certain Glenn Danzig would loathe me if I ever met him.

As a huge Metallica fan, I feel like I would bewilder/annoy James Hetfield.

That said, I think Kirk & I would get along famously. We would talk horror movies until our mutual awkwardness compelled us to quietly call it a day.
I asked this before over at The Old Place and the answers delighted me. So again:

Who is an artist you admire who you suspect would not like you if they met you personally?

I think Peter Dinklage is fantastic. I would absolutely get on his last nerve. He'd be looking for the door while we spoke.

Finished reading @spiritbored.bsky.social ‘s “Here Lies A Vengeful Bitch” and damn, what a yarn!

A great story full of piss & vinegar, horror & sorrow, & righteous fury. Annie was a great protagonist, equal parts endearing and irksome, and by the end I was sad to say goodbye to her.

I know this is going to make me sound old and cranky, but here I go:

Any time I hear someone refer to a VCR as a “VHS Player” or a turntable as a “vinyl player,” I want to pull my face off like the bathroom mirror scene in poltergeist.
