In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.

i imagine there’s about to be an influx of MAGA chuds spewing their bullshit but i really can’t stress enough that if we don’t give them oxygen, they’ll get bored and leave. block early and often.

Delivered latest mosaic today. This one was a commission, on a busted mirror our client pulled off the curb. The best part about this one was it was a joint piece with my mom, who is also my teacher, and the queen of mermaid mosaics (Grandmother Moon Mosaics).
