An enormous platter salad filled with so much Thanksgiving goodness from the ingredients to the colors. I used Eye of the Goat beans and cooked the rice in their broth. Subbed butternut squash for the pumpkin and used extra parsley and pepper since I didn't have arugula. Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate, and if you don't you might want to make this anyway.

Here she is in the client's home. Custom wood stand built by Mom's partner Jim. This was a family project and am really grateful to have been a part of it.

Delivered latest mosaic today. This one was a commission, on a busted mirror our client pulled off the curb. The best part about this one was it was a joint piece with my mom, who is also my teacher, and the queen of mermaid mosaics (Grandmother Moon Mosaics).

I worked on this mermaid mosaic commission with my mother, which was an absolutely wonderful experience. This is on a broken mirror our client dragged out of curbside trash. Midnight the studio cat for scale.
A very large banged up mirror with a curved top and decorative burnished metal frame that is now covered by a stained glass mosaic of a mermaid with flowy red hair and a turquoise , pearl, and green tail. She is underwater sitting on a rock surrounded by kelp, fish, a seahorse, and a jellyfish. Midnight the cat looks really excited but he was actually just meowing to be picked up. She has real seashells, jewelry from our client, crystals and gemstones, glass gems, millefiori, and mirror in addition to the glass.
