ugh, based Thomas now??? fine
Justices Gorsuch and Thomas, who never agree on anything concerning federal Indian law, agree that the federal government doesn't have plenary power over Native nations. This is a remarkable joint statement that should lead Justice Thomas to revisit a hell of a lot of things he has previously said

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.
But I cannot support a deal that still leaves millions of Americans wondering how they are going to pay for their health care or whether they will be able to afford to get sick.

This has to be the demand - not just a unfocused "fuck the cavers", but a focused demand to replace Schumer with someone who has already proven up to the moment. I will be making regular calls to have Schiff and Padilla demand this, and the more of us that do the more real it could be.

Table is open for reasons this is wrong
Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

No man, you don’t get it. I argued the wallet inspector down from a 35% tax rate to 30%
One of the talking points I keep seeing from Democrats is that part of the deal is that it will "ensure federal workers receive back pay" but that's the existing law!
That's not something you've won in negotiations. That's just the letter of the law. You don't get to claim that as a win.

People are treating this agreement as if it were a private contract (I.e. Trump signing it means that he will be held to its implicit and explicit covenants) but that is not how legislation works. There is nothing stopping Trump from signing this and immediately saying it’s unconstitutional

Honestly under the letter of the law you can, it’s just that clearance lawyers would be too conservative to give you the green light (a trademark loses its protection once it’s no longer being used)
After 5-10 years, you should be able to use the branding of legacy phones and media devices as-is in your movies and games. Give us a narrative “choices matter” adventure where you keep up with heart wrenching text conversations on an N-Gage

I was really hoping the defense would get a sandwich from Subway and offer it as demonstrative evidence
The jury is entering deliberations now. If they come to a verdict today, cool! If not, they’ll be dismissed at 5 and we will return tomorrow for Day 4 of not the simplest case in the history of the world.

Wow, is “let me take a quick peek at your kid’s genitals, also books other than Left Behind are illegal” not a winning platform?
Holy shitballs it's hard to describe just how crazy it is that Pennridge dumped all its Republicans from the school board. Central Bucks goes back and forth but Pennridge is Perkasie. Woof.

Zohran has ended his victory speech by summoning and entrapping the spirit of Andrew Cuomo in a Greater Soul Gem. The translucent former governor's mouth hangs open in a pained howl as he writhes within the jewel, but makes no sound.

Whither the paleo-nazi?
I'm sorry for the people in the article just now realizing it, but it's been clear for a while that some of the big institutions like Heritage have been staffed by what we used to call neo-nazis.
My assumption is that the New York Post has better sources inside Heritage than most other press outlets. One tidbit of note: Princeton's Robert P. George, a Heritage trustee, is said to be pushing fellow board members to oust its president Kevin Roberts. Hope he succeeds.
