Just seen a man in the street here wearing a knitted Halloween jester’s hat, it was dark khaki and instead of bells it had eyeballs on the “tentacles”. Made me and the other passers by smile

I’ve stopped for the evening. I think I’ve done about as much on this paper as I can and I need my manager to take a look at it. I’m pie-eyed with it all and lack of sleep is beginning to bite. I just need to review it in hard copy and check my references tomorrow. Nearly there!! #PhDSky

Yes, and at this time of year dog poo is often hidden by autumn leaves on the ground

Mine was horrendously overdue and then took months once I had submitted it. I got a surprisingly good award though, it goes towards therapy, yoga and fitness memberships and CBD gummies!

You’re definitely not “just shit”, you are brilliant and have achieved amazing things despite all the neurodivergence in the mix. I’m sorry you’re feeling so stuck and disheartened. Not working is almost certainly part of it. HMU if you want a chat about it or just some distraction xx

Anyone else with a late #ADHD diagnosis end up going off the deep end afterwards and getting way more disorganised? I do think it's partly hormones, but also partly 'well, this is just the way I am, I'm just shit, no point trying to be anything else'. Be good to hear from you xx

About to start mind mapping my research methods chapter for my first study #PhDSky #PhDChat
The tools of my stationery lover trade: a blank flip chart pad, a collection of colourful felt tips and post it notes in yellow, pink, orange and yellow. It’s all on a grey carpet… I guess I could buy a flip chart stand but I quite like kneeling on the floor and getting really physical with the materials

I go in the half-light around dawn at the moment

People leave it on the side of the path up the hill which is quite narrow. It gets covered with autumn leaves so it’s risky to scuff through them!

I love it really. How are you this morning?

Happy Monday, happy new week. I’m just doing some housework but while I wait for dawn so I can go for a run. I know lots of people run in the dark with a head torch but I’ve not plucked up the courage to do this (and I’m worried about unseen dog poo on the pavement!). Have a great day!

I was there for about half an hour before I secured my release

Cat is gently snoring in my lap. I’m in an awkward position and my left foot has gone to sleep but obviously I can’t move

Modest proposal:

BBC BRING BACK 'TOMORROW'S WORLD'.

Science, tech, environment reporting are woeful currently. Something that blasts excitement about what a golden age we're in of discovery (vaccines, computing, space exploration etc etc) but can also be a trojan horse for warnings on climate etc

I view my “ancestors” as people - usually women - who came before me and had an impact on me, rather than the family tree I was born into. So living memory, chosen ancestors. Is that a thing?

every night my father goes outside to yell at this porcupine to stop eating his apple tree, and every night this porcupine makes eye contact with my father as it continues to eat his apple tree
