Not surprising, but fascinating nonetheless.

Trump taking a liking to Mamdani is the most Trump thing ever. I thought it was a bad idea for Mamdani to seek this meeting so early; I was wrong. Which sucks, because in retrospect, this was completely predictable.

I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

Judge Boasberg is an American hero.
The judge who oversaw the initial challenge to Trump’s attempt to use the Alien Enemies Act to quickly remove people from the country will soon have the authority to continue any contempt proceedings over whether the admin violated his first orders in the case on March 15.

I explain:
D.C. Circuit won't review Trump admin contempt appeal further, sending matter back to Boasberg
The latest order over the Trump administration's actions sending flights to El Salvador on March 15.

These fucking idiots are focusing anti-terrorism efforts on "Antifa"? Start the countdown to the next major terrorist attack on US soil, which will likely be carried out by actual terrorists like Al Qaeda, because we weren't fucking paying attention, b/c we were too busy trying to find "Antifa."

We claimed - spurious though it was - that we had no idea what 1930s Germany was really like.
There is absolutely no plausibility to such a claim here.
Surely we cannot sit idly watching, not if we believe ourselves to be moral.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

Here’s the list of the eight Democrats who caved:

⚫️ Catherine Cortez Masto
⚫️ Dick Durbin
⚫️ John Fetterman
⚫️ Maggie Hassan
⚫️ Tim Kaine
⚫️ Angus King
⚫️ Jackie Rosen
⚫️ Jeanne Shaheen

Their excuses don’t hold water. They betrayed all Americans who were counting on them to stand firm and keep fighting.

Either way, the GOP are f/king children.
What a disgusting group of anti-Christs.
These are Mike Johnson’s Christian values, as Paul Krugman put it on his Substack: “It sounds crazy to say Republicans are making children go hungry to protect pedophiles, but it’s actually a reasonable interpretation of the situation.”

Mike Johnson’s Christian Values: Children Starve, Pedophiles Skate
On Saturday, November 1, the real pain of the shutdown starts for people. Donald Trump and the Republicans have screamed: We. Don’t. Care.

Hearing that Judge Boasberg is in Ted Cruz’s crosshairs. All I have to say is that J. Boasberg is one of the most upstanding judges I have ever encountered. Go fuck yourself, Ted Cruz, you immoral, unethical piece of shit.
