An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

The person who oversees healthcare coverage for more than 160 million Americans is lying about healthcare coverage
Q: Unless ACA subsidies are extended, the average plan will increase by somewhere around 115%

DR OZ: Where'd you get that number?

Q: Kaiser Family Foundation

OZ: They retracted that. Here's the truth. The average American who's on ACA is gonna pay $13 more than this year. That's not a big issue

The USDA has a contingency plan to keep SNAP running during a government shutdown — but the document laying out that plan has been deleted from the agency’s website.

Angus: They banned all American wine and beer sales in the province. David Eby told Donald Trump, “You can keep your watery beer.”

We’ve seen an 85% drop in American spirit sales to Canada and a 97% drop in wine exports. Canada’s basically wiped out the market

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.
We’ve finally gotten our hands on the ballroom plans:

Congress has provided a contingency plan for SNAP to keep the program going for years in case of a shut down. The USDA sneakily took the plan down. Now blue states are suing to continue benefits for their constituents.
Where is the money going?

Also it is objectively unhinged that Mike Johnson has simply chosen to freeze an entire branch of government by refusing to call it into session. He’s the second most powerful person in our government and is treated like he has no obligations or responsibilities.

Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

Jeffries: "Do what leaders do as opposed to being missing in actio for 28 days while finding $40b to bail out a right-wing wannabe dictator in Argentina & destroying the historic parts of the WH so he can construct a ballroom where he'll be celebrated like a wannabe king. It's all outrageous stuff."

Fox reported this last night. I posted it on social media last night. It is a major purge of senior ICE officials resulting from conflict with Border Patrol. But the Speaker once again doesn’t know anything about it. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.

My two takeaways on this:

1. CNN's CEO is utterly craven. No surprise there.

2. The White House is getting very nervous about how poorly the demolition of the East Wing is going over with most Americans. Good.

House Republicans have been missing in action for five weeks while their shutdown hurts America's working families and increases health care costs.

Democrats have been on the job, fighting For The People.

It's past time for Republicans to return to work and do the same.
Join me in boycotting these corporations who are bankrolling Trump’s obnoxious ballroom. Economic power is one of the primary tools we have left. The big one is shut down Amazon on Black Friday. We can all do at least one day to send a message. Spread the word!
