This drives me crazy, because when I was growing up mainstream feminism was about allowing woman to be hairy as sasquatch, breaking borders between genders in *everything*, challenging what a woman can really do. But then a woman could have a penis and now misogyny is good, actually.

"The EHRC’s exclusionary interim guidance has had a devastating impact on trans people’s lives"

“Now the guidance has been withdrawn, so should the exclusionary policies that organisations rashly implemented in its aftermath. If not, they could find themselves in hot water.”
EHRC withdraws interim guidance encouraging trans exclusion
After six months of confusion and delay, the EHRC has taken down interim guidance rushed out in April. But the damage has already been done.

The thing to keep in mind about "successful people" as what they all have in common is knowing how to game the system, not how to create anything worth a damn.

They don't create meaning, they generate wealth. Those two things could potentially coexist, but are so very often diametrically opposed.
It's so shit that a lot of the most "successful" and well-known people don't have a single creative bone in their body. Just steal, pillage and burn every bridge behind you. Reaction streamers, AI bros, politicians, landlords... The thing they have in common is the lack of a soul or purpose.

Destroying the lives of pornographers while freely allowing ChatGPT to create adult content isn't hypocrisy--it's intentional malice. Companies want to be the sole purveyors in our ancient trillion-dollar industry that is porn, but they can only do that by outlawing anyone make it besides themselves

"This game only uses Ai-generated art for promotional purposes, but not in the game itself"

you need to understand
that gen-ai does the exact opposite of promotion

your product and everything you do is now in the garbage bin forever and I will kick you into the sun

Create ERP with your friends. Just do it. Nobody can stop you.
People will fuck an AI trained on stolen work before they accept that erotic roleplay with a friend is healthier, more genuine, and a creativity boost.
Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

In her life, Marilyn Monroe was exploited and abused by so many men.
Studio executives, so many people.
After she died, men continued to exploit her for their pleasure: trying to get themselves buried near/above her.
What your writer did here is obscene, nonconsensual and makes me feel slightly ill

they are clearly trying to terrify everyone out of showing up to the No Kings protest and I simply do not think it is going to work

see you all there
Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

👩🏾 Black furry creatives? artists? musicians?
👨🏾‍🦱 Black furry writers, lyricists, poets?
🧕🏾 Black fursuit makers? craftmakers?
👵🏾 Black furries who wanna hype up other Black furries?

Let's make a thread of some Black work 👇🏾

(Non-Black furries: boost work you like, but enjoy our greatness in silence 🤫)
queer spaces are so overly racially biased it makes me upset every time.

the lack of boosting black positivity or just interacting with black art is upsetting. black art, people, and characters aren't viewed in the same desirability as white characters.

GenAI truly was the worst technology to come along at this moment.

An energy and water guzzler when we most urgently need to take climate action.

A disinformation machine as our journalism fails.

A bias machine as fascism takes root.

A job killer in a cost of living crisis.
The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.
NEWS: ICE gave a Rogers Park man a $130 ticket for not having his papers on him. They rounded him up last week and eventually let him go, but not without a fine that some critics say is un-American. Trump admin enforcing little-used law

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
Business Insider headline reads: UPS is telling customers that their packages coming to the US are marked for destruction.
