As far as I can tell, RFK Jr.'s latest antivax stunt runs counter to the WMA Declaration of Helsinki. Withholding HepB vaccination clearly does not meet any definition of clinical equipoise. Doing it anyway, overseas, is straight up colonialist medicine.

Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

This would be manifestly unwise of them. "Laws don't matter and political murders are the norm" cuts both ways, historically. Prudent not to open the door to that 🙂

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

It's not just concerns from users, it's also from employees! So much of the subtext around AI tool use has been "use it or get fired, so we can better tell who amongst you we can lay off en masse."
I think the indifference is what really grinds my own gears. "Oh well, we should keep doing this despite the concerns from our potential userbase" is a recipe to make people hate you even more
