Hey remember when we were like, "they're gonna do this thing" and then everyone else was like, "you're overreacting?"

I'm so tired of being right.

I'm so tired.
The devil works hard but Jonathan Mitchell works harder:

“A Waco justice of the peace who refused to marry same-sex couples filed a federal lawsuit Friday that asks the courts to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges…Hensley is represented by Jonathan Mitchell.”
Waco judge asks federal courts to overturn same-sex marriage
Judge Dianne Hensley, who has been fighting the state judicial oversight body since 2019, is hoping to tee up a new challenge to the U.S. Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

Concept Artists Say Generative AI References Only Make Their Jobs Harder
“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.

First, no its not here to stay. None of the companies are actually making anything close to a profit.

Second, what the actual fuck? You can simply, you know, not use it. Anything you use generative AI for, even if its just "concept art" or "getting ideas" is coming from a poisoned well.
"It’s time to face reality, AI is here to stay" - Kingdom Come: Deliverance head Daniel Vávra says Larian got a "crazy shitstorm" for doing what "absolutely everyone else is doing", and that while he's "no fan of AI generated art" it's going nowhere.

This is how the world ends, not with a bang nor with a whimper, but with the masses crying out as one, "this is so fucking stupid"

This is a great analogy. Why do all that work just to get to the top of that wall?

Because the work IS the point. The work is why you do it.

It's the same with anything creative.

AI powered consulting firm with no actual clients listed and their "testimonials" from "clients" include names and titles but also no compamy names or actual pictures.

You cannot convince me their entire website wasn't built with AI and that all of this is fake.

Anyway, here's Kaylee

Being the director of the FBI and releasing a couples podcast while a mass shooter is on the loose is a wild choice
lot of awful and insane stuff going on. but if you really want to have a brain bleed this holiday season don't lose sight of Stephen Miller's wife doing a video podcast with the FBI director and his gf about their love life

One way that the reaction to Rob Reiner's murder mirrors Charlie Kirk's is that the best way to eulogize each of them is to quote their words, and in both cases, doing so pisses off conservatives.
Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."

Far too few of us, myself included, did not really understand the extent to which some of the people of this country would go simply for the cruelty of it all.
Our local news recently reported that a nonprofit is collecting toys for kids whose parents were deported. FB commenters were overwhelmingly negative. Many suggested ICE raid the toy drive and arrest the kids, too.

I hate that I’m now aware of how much of our country craves this sort of cruelty.
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.
