In a recent pub, grad students Kijoon and Corinne co-led a study where we made molecular tools to manipulate transposable elements (TEs) in mouse prefrontal cortex. We saw that transcriptional escape of brain TEs uniquely impaired complex social behavior.

Excited to share my final postdoc project published. We looked into the striking amyloidosis of important brain waste clearance sites (bridging veins) in mouse and human. A great collaborative project with Rupal Mehta at Rush who did all the human studies. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

~10 years ago few months after I joined @scottrussophd.bsky.social lab I ran a 🧪 qPCR for Cldn5, a marker of 🩸 blood-brain 🧠 barrier integrity, after social stress

I never imagined it would have such an impact 1000 citations 🤯

Never looked back since then 🤓 and how is my lab 7 years old already 😱
