(I'm not saying this is a good use of Strange New Worlds' limited episode count per se, but they do like dressing up in silly costumes and not being themselves about once per season... give Ortegas back her sword, and let Pike have long hair and a beard and ride a horse again)
Me: <exhausted, trying to sleep>

Brain: ...okay but what if Old Man Shran shows up on the SNW Enterprise to one-up Carbon Creek by revealing that first contact was actually with Vikings, and that's why Vulcans, Tellarites, and Andorians are basically Elves, Dwarves, and Frost Giants? 👀
An Oberth would have been perfect for this, they'd already established that as a science vessel on TNG (heck, in ST:III) and the age makes it the perfect choice for a young CO and a civilian project.
Also, the Lynx as a "bulk carrier". Too big to land, it works similar to the existing summon/dismiss mechanics. Lots of storage, but you need to use a small/medium ship or limpets to transfer cargo back and forth. An alternative to having a fleet carrier for space truckers.
More stuff with ranks, to justify all the grind. An armed forces discount on allied stations. A Federal Dropship that can spit out a squad of NPCs. An SOS beacon that will spawn a couple of patrol ships as escorts. Access to "military issue" gear with different cosmetics or that's pre-engineered.

Celebrity Traitors, you guys.

Celebrity. Traitors.
Celebrity Traitors!!!!

(I am obsessed)
Watching a random Enterprise episode for insomnia reasons — it's such a shame we never got to see Ambassador V'Lar again. Her backstory with the Andorians would have been great in the Babel / Coalition arcs, she should have wound up Shran so much (and actively enjoyed doing so)!
A sentimental Klingon with a bow and arrow who believes in the power of friendship?

Love it when they make it obvious who my favourite character is going to be. 😂
They are absolutely nailing the hype building for this show. I was so indifferent when it was announced, now I cannot wait. Every new tease makes me more and more intrigued. 👀
Ahh, I misremembered, I thought NYCC was where we got the 4.5 Vulcans clip.

I guess this year is better than last year then? This feels like more of an episode than the S3 opener was.
It's weird that this is just... a chunk of episode? It's not a scene, it's not a tease of anything specific, it isn't edited into anything particularly streamlined, it's just... whatever they had ready?

(Nice to see La'an and Una getting some better attention though!)
Curveball, but if we're in space I'd love to see the Manhunters. Order at any cost is a very Peacemaker vibe, and really plays into his humanity being Peacemaker's strength (and a timely criticism of AI). We should have multiple Lanterns by then too, right?

(Bonus points if Salvation is Mogo)
Gerry Anderson is (was?) an incredibly big deal over here, so even the short lived stuff had their fair share of buzz and marketing. 24 episodes is quite a lot by British standards!
Who didn't have a crush on Simone Bendix, tbh? 😂

Space Precinct was one of the shows I actually had toys for, I didn't get many action figure style things as a kid but Gerry Anderson stuff was a rare exception.

Slomo was one of my early beloved droids, too!
Exactly, a lot of it is about what phrasing you use, what specific terminology you do or don't include. If you didn't say the magic word or phrase (even if it applies) no benefits for you.
It's such a targeted change too, as if it wasn't already designed to trip people up and catch them out enough. All we can do write about our worst days with as much detail as we can manage, and then hope for the best.

Fingers crossed for you. 🤞
Yeah, mine did eventually get extended (13 years here), it just says a lot about the process that there's a contingency plan for when they take so damn long to process a review
It took them a year to process my last PIP and ESA review, they took so long that they gave me a year extension just to make sure it didn't run out while they were processing it.

Deeply incompetent, and no regard for the debilitating stress it all causes.
This is not a past tense thing, Work Capability Assessments for the DWP are still carried out by third party companies who don't know a thing, it's awful and dehumanising.

You might be thinking of Atos specifically, who were incredibly bad.

I worry that the flop of Section 31 will make the big franchises squeamish about streaming movies (which is wild, stuff like Solo would be a PERFECT streaming movie), and I don't think there's the confidence for a big screen Acolyte movie.
(technically some of these vary based on which one you're talking about, and/or how local you are)
Southall, Southwark, and Southwell
What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?
