Fellow comic folks, we gotta be having the conversation over the sweeping censorship in this country right now. To put it bluntly, this is a fucking disaster. For consumers, for small businesses and artists, for everybody. The US is cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world and for what?? Even if this gets sorted out or walked back, it’s going to cause a major disruption.

Call up whatever local LGBT organizations exist in your area, gay activist groups, gay bars, pride organizing committees, folks who schedule drag shows, queer church groups, everyone.

Also libraries and bookstores.

Show up in person to talk to any business using Stripe.

Same during my call- the wording I used was “non-explicit, legal, non-adult LGBT content”, and I got back the response that “yes, stripe is blocking this. We’re a private company, we make our own rules about it.” Was hung up on when I asked why.
