also being able to have much larger parties than the usual limit of 4 (in Super you get a party of 2-3, but you often get extra "guest" allies to follow/fight alongside you without taking up party slots) is neat on paper, but in practice having a line of guys trailing off the screen is just a pain

this game really just feels like it lacks an emotional core and coherent themes in a way that's extremely noticeable. the shit that's happening would be decently impactful if I was actually invested in any of the cast or world but instead the most I feel is "that's fucked up why would they do that"

I've made it a bunch further into Super PMD now and I think I'm definitely well into the part where people say it gets "interesting" (as in, there are actually stakes now, scary shit is happening and they are saving the world from an existential threat) but I would not say it has gotten "good"

starting a lil earlier tonight! decided to hop back into Splatoon 3: Side Order for a bit since there are still a handful of weapons to clear (and I also just generally enjoy it as a nice hang-out-and-chat game). so yeah. i'm playin squid games, come hang out and chat lol

what i actually REALLY wanna play tonight is noita, but unfortunately i had a wacky crazy super long run last week where i was doing a bunch of exploration into side areas instead of the main progression, and i suspended my game and haven't gone back to finish it yet lol. so that'll have to wait

i now have thanksgiving plans with family on monday/tuesday that i gotta be awake at normal hours for, so i'm prob only gonna do one stream this weekend (tonight, skipping tomorrow so i can go to bed early) and i'm trying to decide what to play. mayyyybe i'll go back for more splatoon side order?

honestly i didn't have much faith in the "modular" part lol, it IS ikea furniture, that shit's gonna rapidly lose its structural integrity if you try to take it apart and put it back together more than once. mine was still simple enough that the customization was just "hey wanna build it backwards?"

ooh I think I used to use a very similar desk to this actually! (it was just an alt model that extended further to the left and had a cupboard space underneath to keep my PC in)
i kept it as a secondary desk when I got a new PC that was too big to fit in the cupboard, cuz it's still a good lil desk

it does get kinda cold sometimes but it's not especially cold right now? once the weather gets cold OUTSIDE the furnace starts kicking in at night, so it actually ends up being pretty average to warm in the cold months (when the issue happens). it's weird but idk i guess it's not much to worry about

the dumb thing is i'm not even sure they did anything actually legally enforceable besides false advertising (i'd have to check the lease to be sure whether it actually said in writing anywhere that this was a legalized suite or not), they ARE allowed to just rent it this way, it's just annoying lol
