I had idea that Ronald Reagan was against Medicare before Medicare became law. In this quote he used the word “socialism” which to me means that Reagan is the OG Republican who injected the word “socialism” into the American zeitgeist and distorted its meaning. Trump picked it up and so did MAGA.
