I just read my first Absolute Batman comic (the annual) and I "Get It" now. He's a parody of what fandom wants from Batman, completely over the top. It's hilariously adorable.

I think I just figured out why I fell off in my MST3K fandom
I think a lot of the quality of older MST3K came from having seen these weird movies on TV as a kid, so they were familiar enough to mock. Now they just keep churning out content over four different sub brands and go for easier jokes
