Smith finally said it out loud...

She doesn't believe that government should be providing any services to Albertans, she believes that private companies should be used universally to provide services.

Faith groups should take care of the vulnerable.

If parking is worth fighting safe streets and housing people really shouldn’t have a problem paying 2 dollars for it.
Opinion: Time for Edmonton to charge for on-street, overnight neighbourhood parking
Parking and vehicle use is a luxury item and should be taxed as such.

Our zoning changes have been a success. We have slowed the rent curve, and provided more housing options for people in the neighbourhoods they love.

We're fighting to maintain and build on our progress.

Driver wants pedestrians to shoulder check to make sure that drivers are following the rules. I know I already do this as I've had too many near misses (on bike or foot, even added lights to my walking gear).

Get fucked my guy. You are driving the murder machine, you own that responsibility.

#yegbike So today I watched a driver drive straight through the new MUP on 111 ave by B-Street Bar at 119 st to get into the parking lot and go north on 119 street. BIG CAR-EATING BOLLARDS REQUIRED. The wooden barricade the city had put up completely blocking the path was set fully aside.

Good urbanism and a healthy community shifts behavior from caring for "my property" to "taking care of our street".
Be the change (municipal sidewalk plowing) you want to see in the world…

By clearing the sidewalks beyond your own home until the snowblower battery dies.

I got 5 other neighbors’ sidewalks done tonight bc the snow was so easy to work with!

Well that commute sucked. #YEGbike

With 76 ave/Mill Creek closed I took the residential streets and had my third tumble in a week. Apparently I'm looking to break records.

91 street from Argyll to 51 avenue is not cleared, and 51 ave itself west to 99 has windrows from road plowing.
I have an appointment on the south side today. I'll be using Mill Creek N/S, 91 street, and then westbound on 51 ave.

Is the 76 ave detour well marked? Any details on MUP conditions? Thanks, #yegbike!

Ride report:
- most side roads are perfectly packed with some brown sugar spots, overall enjoyable. (Prince Charles shared streets)
- Kingsway city maintained hasn't been touched. Snow pack is there but VERY bumpy. Rideable if you can ride single track.
- Blatchford paths also not touched. #yegbike

Essentially what Danielle Smith is saying is we don’t have three branches of government anymore.
This is among the most democratically dangerous things Danielle Smith has said.

She wants to remove all checks and balances on her power and projects herself as the embodiment of "the people."

We have left the realm of liberal democracy in this province.
Smith doubled down on her anti court rhetoric today...

She even seemed to suggest that federally appointed judges couldn't render impartial rulings and that she believed her interpretation should always be above theirs.
