Possibly controversial opinion: if you use the word “demonic” to describe something you just don’t like or don’t understand, anything else you say becomes invalid and worthless to me.

I got into an argument on Reddit with some pro-Ai people, and by the end of it all, when I had just walk away because of the banality, I realized that there are a not insignificant number of people that rooted for Agent Smith in the Matrix and would give anything to live in one of those goo pods.

The "internet safety" bills being rammed through Congress and state legislatures are this generations equivalent of the Patriot Act — a path for mass surveillance, censorship and surrendering of fundamental rights.
