I’m absolutely heartbroken.

Along with Olivia de Havilland, my favorite screen actress of all time.

Rest in Peace.
All of them! The Exorcist. The Nightmare series. Okay, SCREAM. The continuity in SCREAM is good. That's one.
I am trying to think of any horror franchise where the continuity is air tight and I'm drawing a complete blank.
Eh, I couldn't care less. When has continuity in horror franchises ever been consistent? All I care about is if the movie's good.

good morning. watch Reds.
Remember when there were TWO big studio Christopher Columbus movies released the same year? That was weird.

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

Diane Keaton was always a genre unto herself. On and off screen, she was effortlessly funny, achingly honest, and unafraid to mirror back to us what it means to be human in an impossible world. We love you, Diane, and we’ll celebrate you on our big screen and in our video store til the end of time.

Every time the subject of Jimmy Fallon’s spinelessness comes up, I think of this passage from Tina Fey’s Bossypants
66 Amy Poehler was new to SNL and we were all crowded into the seventeenth-floor writers' room, waiting for the Wednesday night read-through to start.
[...] Amy was in the middle of some such nonsense with Seth Meyers across the table, and she did something vulgar as a joke. I can't remember what it was exactly, except it was dirty and loud and
"unladylike"
Jimmy Fallon [...] turned to her and in a faux-squeamish voice said, "Stop that!
It's not cute! I don't like it." Amy dropped what she was doing, went black in the eyes for a second, and wheeled around on him. "I don't fucking care if you like it." Jimmy was visibly startled. Amy went right back to enjoying her ridiculous bit.
With that exchange, a cosmic shift took place. Amy made it clear that she wasn't there to be cute. She wasn't there to play wives and girlfriends in the boys' scenes.
She was there to do what she wanted to do and she did not fucking care if you like it.

Tina Fey, Bossypants
Wait, is... is this your first time?

Indie director Barbara Marques has been kidnapped by ICE. She is legally married to a U.S. citizen & was at a green card mtg when she was abducted and prevented from seeing her lawyer. Her husband Tucker May does not know where she is. Please spread the word so he can find her /1
Okay, for funsies:

Best LAW & ORDER cast?

For me, it's Season 5: Orbach, Noth, Merkerson, Waterston, Hennessy, Hill

Yours?
Oh! And The Scarlet Letter and The Red Pony. And The Yellow Wallpaper.
Ah! Their Eyes Were Watching God. We read that too, I forgot.
I envy your high school!

That said, for me: Ethan Frome, Lord of the Flies, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Jane Eyre, The Stranger, Animal Farm, The Screwtape Letters, Leaves of Grass, Heart of Darkness

We may have to, begrudgingly, accept certain behaviors in first run multiplex screenings now. But it’s wild to me how pervasive those same behaviors are at film festivals now, let alone press and industry screenings which should be, frankly, populated by the very people rallying against that.
