my friends, I am in a 10-person capacity record bar in Tokyo requesting songs and drinking Japanese whisky. the owners are a married couple chain smoking behind the bar, slinging cocktails, and spinning records.

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

Update: turns out after 30 minutes of waiting I inquired and said “I think you forgot about me…”

After a further 5 minutes, meds were pushed and we’re up to date. Well….in a couple weeks when I reach full immunity, anyway.
