Essentially he is saying I need more gas to cut the amount of renewables and as the secondary generator of power for my nuclear power plants
How much will it cost us to force gas companies to break existing contracts, set by John Howard, which sell everything overseas?

How much will it cost us for Temu Trump to retrench 41,000 public servants and give their work to KPMG and friends?

And $40 bill paid to companies that were financially sound during COVID
When Frydenberg suggested they could return the payments people like Jerry Harvey told him to take a running jump
God it shits me Dutton hoping to surf in after Labor had to wear 13 int rates rises after the RB not acting earlier. Global inflation, Ukraine war & the neglect in addressing housing for 9 years. He's a lying, destructive bastard.
March 28, 2025 at 5:37 AM
With the current state of the budget
has Angus told Dutton that cuts that large could send the country into recession ?
www.thenewdaily.com.au/federal-budg...

😳😳😳😳😳
Spending will be slashed in an effort to bring down inflation and lower interest rates, with $46 billion on the chopping block across Labor’s housing investment fund, renewable energy fund and critical mineral tax credits, Dutton said.
Dutton makes big pitch to voters' hip pockets in budget response
Peter Dutton's budget reply promises cheaper electricity bills to go along with his cheaper fuel ahead of a 'cost-of-living' election.

Simply removing mutual obligation would worsen shortages in the labour market.
I think it would be better to make it optional and pay more for the work these people do thus encouraging workforce participation
Reminder that if a govt cared about the 3 million+ Australians in poverty they would increase JobSeeker to the Henderson Poverty Line and remove mutual obligations. #auspol

She is giving independents a bad name
Appalling. Allegra Spender, one of parliament's richest MPs, has disclosed 3 new trusts without declaring the trusts' activities or beneficiaries as is required. Last week she was busted for not directorships in 7 companies and shareholdings in four.

I call it
Hallucinating
P.Dutton thinks he’ll have no problem persuading D.Trump & gas companies to do what they don’t want to do. The disconnect between how he’s perceived & the way he seems to think he’s perceived is amazing.
March 28, 2025 at 5:00 AM
Yes
wheel out is right

I am so proud of Peter Dutton , I mentored him you know from the day he joined the party
He will make an extremely good PM , just like myself
Bets on how soon they wheel Howard out?
March 28, 2025 at 4:43 AM
Hmmm ?
Wonder if they can get Dutton to tackle a refugee as he steps off a boat somewhere around the coastline ?
The election campaign prospect is so grimly boring it's making us nostalgic for this
March 28, 2025 at 4:38 AM
Surprised someone from the Liberal party hasn't decided on Aboriginal place names for the jail's they are locked up in
Just to put the finishing touch on things
So thoughtful to put these Aboriginal place names on digital maps. Now we'll have the First Nations names for the areas where incarceration rates are 15 times higher for First Nations peoples.

"In the United States, Indigenous people are incarcerated at double the rate of Americans overall, according to the Prison Policy Initiative, a non-profit think tank. In Australia, incarceration rates are 15 times higher for aboriginal peoples."

And Dutton was fairly specific about the crimes he is going to fight like Australia's answer to Superman.
But he didn't mention women or youth ???
With 16 women murdered in Australia this year already, almost all by the violence of men, it’s shocking to hear no mention of this epidemic of male violence against women by either Albanese or Dutton in their budget speeches. They’ll talk about everything but this. Shameful.

I do feel for these people
BUT
ABC you make it read like we are talking about thousands of people
How many of the total population of outback residents are you reporting on ?

Dutton needs urgent help
hallucinating again
New @reneweconomy.com.au #ElectionWatch blog - Dutton wants Australia to be part of a claimed global "nuclear renaissance" that he's just flat-out made up

Quote John Howard Penny
"We will decide who comes to our country "
👇👀The LNP openly pledges to breach international law

We cannot let these Trumpian wreckers get their hands on our democracy

Put Liberal party and National party candidates last on your ballot paper 🗳️

#auspol
#AusVotes25
Liberal Senator Michaelia Cash declares that under a Dutton Govt, Israeli war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu would be welcome to visit Australia. So, a Dutton Govt would oppose international law and support genocide. Good to know. 😠 #IsraeliWarCrimes #auspol #AusVotes25 youtu.be/Ne7lr7t0HRM?...

Need Albo to quote Howard on this one

I agree 😀
Thanks.

We are all going to learn a lot about gas in Australia, in the next five weeks.
March 28, 2025 at 4:11 AM
A neighbour of mine many years ago was an Italian migrant and he built his own home on land two doors up
Basically Dutton's speech is migrants are bad and the cause of your problems, and also we need a lot more fossil fuels being pumped out while giving $20k a year for blokes to take their mates golfing
March 28, 2025 at 3:50 AM
Basic infrastructure including gas pipelines
but no solar powered homes and a community battery just another connection to fossil electricity until it runs out
Same reason the LNP policy of “$5bn for home construction” is actually $5bn to subsidise developers’ costs of basic infrastructure NOT building any actual homes. Any opportunity to funnel cash to their chums.
March 28, 2025 at 3:45 AM
Nuclear power plants
A 2290 mile gas pipeline
Hmmm?
He has no vision because he is constantly hallucinating
A must read for #auspol followers. So many reasons to put LNP last but this must rank highly: “Critics assert that Dutton’s approach to leadership is characterised by a troubling lack of substantive vision”. He’s not fit to lead Australia.
Peter Dutton's divisive politics and lack of substantive vision raise serious concerns about his suitability for leadership. While allegations of corruption remain unproven, they cast a shadow over his candidacy. Australia deserves better. 🇦🇺 #LeadershipMatters

There was that one who after his Israel war service returned here to have a high security clearance job before ASIO nailed him and removed it.
That's the best effort so far
But a long way off being enough
Can we please have an update, @albomp.bsky.social @australianlabor.bsky.social, on steps you are taking to ensure authorities are investigating Australian IDF members for war crimes committed in Palestine, & taking necessary action, to keep all Australians safe. #auspol #StopIsrael #FreePalestine
March 28, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Yeah. More about those white African farmers
More about nuclear power stations in Ontario
More about Germany during the war
More about gas as an energy source
More about how beSir Robert Menzies and John Howard built Australia
Dutton wants to establish a school curriculum that teaches "critical thinking" and "common sense".

Well, we can read between the lines with that!
