It hurt my brain for a while there at the start - and I had to inspect it every night after my knitting for the day that there were no mistakes (and if there were, then I'd have to either fix or frog).

Also bought a row counter and that was GAME CHANGING

I started in mid-July.

I estimate that I knit for at least 4 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I took a two week break when I ran out of the yarn and was waiting for the skein to arrive from Canada, so I reknit my beanie I made back in June.

So, let's say... around 310 hours total?

I've finally finished it!!!

It has taken almost three months to complete and is by far the most difficult and complicated thing I've ever knitted, but I do love to push myself.

This is only my second time ever knitting cable... so why not do a complicated vintage cableknit pattern?? 😂

Also, I saw my knitting teacher (I had 2 private lessons at the start of 2024) today and showed her a picture - she suggested I submit it to the 2026 Canberra Show!

Guess who has an entry in the Novice (less than 3 years experience) "Class 304 ADULT GARMENT - Any Ply or Technique". Wish me luck! 🤗

But it's finally done! And I am in love. It's SO heavy (800 grams!) but will be lovely in Winter. Too bad I managed to finish it as we head into Summer... 🤦‍♀️

Running out of yarn while knitting the top of the second sleeve was not idea,l and it was even worse that the colour had been discontinued! It took a good two weeks to get another ball sent from Canada, pushing out the time it took to finish this project.
