Something has always bothered me about the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. The ego thing would be to call it the Gulf of the United States since he’s POTUS. Something clicked for me tonight realizing that he does signal his intentions though they might not be obvious. 1/
This! More of this, just bury him with discovery with every lawsuit
Trump sued the Pulitzer Prize Board for defamation

Now the defendants are demanding his tax returns, psych records, and prescription history as part of discovery

A million Muslims live in New York City. We belong here, as does every other New Yorker.

This is vile Islamophobia from the Councilwoman and it has no place in our city.

Lots of white on white crime going on right now, breaking my heart. Trump/Miller/Vance care to comment?

Dear Grim Reaper,

First off, time for a holiday, or a long sabbatical. Seriously. Secondly, there was an easy get 79 yo there for the taking. No fire needed. Thinking of your workload during this busy season.

First question I have is will Musk, Bezos/Jassy, Zuckerberg, Pichai have to pony up if they want to keep their HB1 employees? And secondly, how is this even happening, where are the lawsuits?
Unbelievable - you literally wire money to some unspecified account. I assume this is so Trump can treat it as a slush fund he can deploy unconstrained by Congress (in violation of the Constitution).

I got an advanced video of the upcoming meeting.

Also who fucking cares, hope they get drunk on boxed wine and paint each others nails heinous colors. While giggling like the 8 yo’s that they act like.

Great thread, thank you Choam
So I feel very strongly that there aren’t enough good resources to tell people what mobile games are actually fun and not just a Delaware corporation lunging for your wallet and I’m going to start a thread. Sam’s IOS Game Thread START:

Sunday reading: I wrote about how the regime’s latest racist hate campaign is tied to the Right’s broader attempt to redefine citizenship and national identity in service of an exclusionary white nationalist vision.

A deep dive into the Right’s visions of blood-and-soil nationalism:
Trumpism Is at War with the Idea of a Citizenry of Equals
The regime’s latest racist fury is tied to the Right’s much broader attempt to redefine citizenship and national identity in service of an exclusionary white nationalist

Any transit nerds out there that could answer this question, who would a train that had its brakes activated need to be removed? It’s 2025, can the brakes be unactivated and the train go on it’s merry way? And don’t get me started on signal issues in 2025, but I understand that a little bit
Uptown [D][N][R] trains are running with delays after we removed a train that had its brakes activated from service at 36 St (Brooklyn).

Another mass shooting, this time at Brown. 2 dead, 8 injured. MAGA & Corporate media waiting to ID the shooter but we know the drill
•Immigrant—> Expand ICE
•Muslim—> Expand Muslim ban
•Black—> Expand prisons & police
•White—> Troubled lone wolf with rough childhood

And still 0 action on gun safety

💯 There seems to be a growing faction of these white men who were successful in the 00’s and were entitled enough to think they could coast on their initial success but more talented people surpassed them, not all of them white men. Hence the bitterness, see Greenwald and Tiabbi as other examples.
This is because Nate Silver has 300K subscribers on Substack and Heather Cox Richardson has 2.7M. Mediocre men CAN'T STAND successful women, and even blame them for their own failures. Pathetic.

Seeing Nuts (Barbra Streisand) in a movie theater in Maine all alone, projectionist came out and asked, ‘are you sure you want to see this’. I said ‘yes’. LOL

Only to be topped by nearly knocking over Trump at the top of the escalator, Ziegfeld premiere of Nell. Could’ve, should’ve……
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

So infuriating, come on America we can do fucking better. Crocket has more skills than Platner could ever dream of having in his lifetime. So yes, #TheDoubleTax and also racism and white entitlement
People are showing more grace to the white guy who took 18 years to cover up racist tattoos than a Black woman who has been using her platform to fight inequality since she got here.

This is #TheDoubleTax.
Jasmine Crockett’s Senate bid is infuriating some colleagues.

“She might win a primary, but she ain't winning a general in Texas," said a senior House Dem.

Another House Dem told @axios.com: “Just look to see how many House members endorse her candidacy.” www.axios.com/2025/12/12/j...

Leaving the answer to legalSky but would these pardons count if one could prove they were issued by someone who was medically diagnosed with dementia?
