The thing that annoys me is how the idea of "AI competency" is either hilariously empty OR an impossible bar for most undergraduate students.
The weak version of this seems to be "showing students how to use ChatGPT and telling them that it can hallucinate." The strong version is an MA in ML.

I actually love coming out to people for this reason. They've probably known me as a woman for weeks or months, and I tell them, "yeah, I'm actually trans." Totally forces them to reckon with the fact that it really doesn't matter to them in any meaningful way.

If you are worried this is too big an executive function barrier you can go to a pharmacy and they will probably just jab you. That is what I did.

Go to your doctor and get your measles titers checked to make sure you are still immune and if not get re-vaccinated. It’s more and more likely all of us are going to eventually come in contact with it.
The thing about measles is that it’s the only known virus that triggers immune amnesia - it causes your immune system to forget everything it has previously learned. Meaning you essentially reset to zero and are now at risk of basically everything.
It can take 2-3 years to get immunities back.

If you’re in the UK and were born between 1970-1990 you can just go to your GP and get revaccinated for MMR because you may have had single vaccines, which are no longer considered valid. I went & did it this summer. Easy way to help protect yourself & your community.

I know this makes some people in the trans community nervous, but I know the science well and I have confidence in it.
Ultimately, I believe trans people exist - meaning we are observable, physical, measurable.
